I had an excellent experience renting a 4x4 from this company for my 12-day self-drive trip around Namibia.

One thing that impressed me right from the start was that they managed to secure a Toyota Hilux 4x4 for us even though we booked only about a month before our trip. Given how popular 4x4 rentals can be in Namibia, especially during peak travel periods, we were very grateful for their help.

What really stood out was the level of service. They arranged private transfers from the airport to our accommodation in Windhoek on the first night, from the accommodation to the rental office the next morning, and even from the rental office back to the airport at the end of the trip—all at no additional charge. Having the same driver (shoutout to Simon!) for the transfers made everything seamless and stress-free.

During vehicle collection, the team went through the checklist thoroughly and took the time to explain everything in detail, which gave us a lot of confidence before starting the journey as it's our first time driving a 4x4.

Another thoughtful touch was that they provided advice on recommended routes and roads to avoid based on current conditions. This local knowledge was extremely helpful and is something we have not experienced with most car rental companies.

The vehicle was very well prepared. The tyre pressures were already properly set, and throughout our 12-day journey across Namibia, we had a completely smooth experience without any tyre issues, punctures, or needing to make any adjustments.

I also appreciated that there was no requirement to wash the vehicle before returning it. After driving through Namibia's gravel roads and desert landscapes, being able to return the car as-is made the end of the trip much more convenient.

Overall, the service was professional, friendly, and genuinely customer-focused. The team went above and beyond to make our Namibia self-drive adventure easy and enjoyable. I would not hesitate to rent from them again and highly recommend them to anyone planning a trip to Namibia!

We rented a Hillux 4x4 from Robert and his team for our amazing two week Namibia trip.

From booking to pickup at the airport, to explanation of the car, everything was professional and we felt well taken car of. We got a super clean, well maintained and rather new car, with tires in perfect conditions (not a single issue during our trip).

With the car came a rooftop tent, not brand new, but in good conditions, perfectly clean and fitted clean bedsheets. As we were afraid of being cold they even gave us additional sleeping bags (that we didn’t need in the end). The car comes fully equipped with everything needed for a Namibian camping holiday. Camping table, chairs, cutlery, all sorts of pots and pans and most importantly everything for a great barbecue.

Thanks to the good state of the car we didn’t have any issues during our trip. Nevertheless we knew that we could always reach out to Robert and the Go Rent Team for assistance which was great for peace of mind travelling in a new country.

Look no further! Robert and his team provided more than excellent service and their prices were very competitive. We had the Hilux twin cab vehicle with camping equipment. Everything was provided and complete - all we had to do was take our food and drinks along. Found these guys via Goggle and they made our trip to Namibia totally stress free. They operate out of a location near downtown - about 3 mins from where we spent our first and last nights (the Hilton). Arranged to collect and drop at the airport, met at hotel to hand over the vehicle the next day, SIM card for my phone, wifi in the Hilux etc etc. They had thought of everything to make it stress free. The vehicle itself was fantastic. Sparkling clean and fresh (when we picked it up!). A dream to drive on Namibia's unpaved roads. The team really explain well how to operate it, manage tyre pressures etc. The people are just lovely. Answered any questions by WhatsApp immediately (imagine that happening with Hertz!) Be aware, Namibia is absolutely huge. Google maps overestimates the times to drive (if you're confident on unpaved roads) but be aware that you are covering massive distances. Made me laugh - for example - that the Cape Cross seal colony is a Swakopmund attraction. It's 120km north. But this is the vehicle to make it comfortable. Do not drive after dark. I did 30 mins after sunset on the motorway to get back to Windhoek. It's another world to driving in the day, and a 2 lane road would wipe you out in no time with oncoming lights. I can't comment on the price/value except that I didn't get a comparison because i) it was fair and ii) the service was exceptional. Use these guys - they're just fantastic. GO RENT truck and camping hire was brilliant. My boyfriend and I had never been to Namibia before, so we’re anticipating our trip with a bit of uncertainty. However from the moment Robert picked us up from the airport we felt relaxed. The team gave us a  thorough and careful briefing before we set off for 8 days of camping. The van was in great condition and all the camping equipment was thought about.
We would book again through GO RENT in a heart beat and are already planning our next trip to Namibia- an exceptionally special and beautiful of country.

Polecam!polecam! I jeszcze raz polecam. Obsługa cudowna i bardzo pomocna. Linie lotnicze zgubiły mój bagaż, nie było czasu na czekanie bo plan podróży i rezerwację noclegow zrobione wcześniej. Zaproponowali odebranie mojego bagażu z lotniska i nadanie go do miejscowości gdzie będziemy się zatrzymywać. Uratowało to nasz plan za co jestem bardzo wdzięczna. Samochód przygotowany perfekcyjnie, wszystko czego nam potrzeba na campingach było, namioty pościel wszystko przygotowane idealnie. Wi fi w aucie. Podróżowalismy tym autem 3 tygodnie, obsługa przygotowała nam dokumenty na inne kraje więc spokojnie mogliśmy przekraczać granice. Odbiór z lotniska i transfer na lotnisko, kontakt w każdym momencie jeśli tylko jest potrzeba. I had a great experience with Go Rent Namibia ! I rented a car for 3 weeks and was really satisfied with it. They provide all the tools and accessories necessary for camping and they stay in touch with you to provide assistance for anything during your travel time. I was kindly welcomed in their office and well briefed before my departure. Everyone was very kind !
The roof tent is also very confortable and quite easy to set up. I can recommend Go Rent Namibia to anyone who's wanting to explore the country while camping.

Très bonne agence de location de 4x4 avec tente sur le toit pour explorer la Namibie. Possibilité de louer à partir de 6 jours minimum. Le véhicule qui nous a été donné était en bon état et a parfaitement fonctionné pendant toute la durée du séjour (>3 semaines). Aucun pneu crevé durant le séjour, mais cela arrive fréquemment donc nous avions pris une assurance complémentaire. La tente était OK, facile à ouvrir et pas trop compliquée à refermer le matin. Le matériel fourni permet de partir sereinement : kit pour cuisiner et manger, faire un feu, pinces à linge, frigo et sa rallonge électrique, bouilloire, bidon d’essence (vide), matériel pour faire la pression des pneus, etc. La conduite était simple et nous n’avons pas eu de problème sur les divers types de routes rencontrées.

Go Rent Namibia 4x4 is so much more than a rental service. Piet, Christina and Simon were our guardian angels throughout our Namibia adventure. I cannot recommend them enough for their incredible support, advice and excellent communication, both during the planning and throughout our actual road trip. Their local knowledge, thoughtful advice and genuine consideration of our specific trip requirements were 10/10. I often found myself saying, *“Piet was right!”* throughout the trip, which says a lot about how valuable their advice was. As first-time 4x4 and roof-tent travellers, we were a little unsure of what to expect, but the whole experience was seamless. Everything was handled with great care and attention, and we always felt that we were in very good hands. If you’re planning a self-drive adventure in Namibia, I would wholeheartedly recommend Go Rent Namibia. Great 4x4 rental in namibia
Go Rent 4x4 was a superb choice for our 3 week truck rental in Namibia. We got a 4x4 Toyota hilux with pop up tent to explore the country. The truck was immaculately clean and well maintained with high quality gear. Both the road and camping gear was fully equipped beyond even what was noted on the website (full cooking and eating utensils, braii gear, propane stove and kettle, 2 extra tires, table and chairs, binoculars, air compressor, etc. Etc.). Their cars are also unbranded which makes them nicely conspicuous in a country full of giant 4x4 campers emblazoned with rental company logos. A nice subtle touch.For those unfamiliar with pop up tents, Simon will give you a tutorial upon arrival and you'll learn how quick and easy it is (5min up or down once you get some quick practice). Everyone is super friendly and the pickup and dropoff process is incredibly quick and easy. They even picked us up at the airport the night before our rental, took us to our hotel, and brought us to their shop the next morning (and drove us to the airport after dropping the truck back off).All the booking and planning was super easy and everyone is available anytime via WhatsApp. Robert, one of the owners, was extremely friendly and inviting. He answered all our questions and gave a rundown of the Namibian tourist sites. He can help you plan your trip if needed and is always available via WhatsApp if anything goes wrong. They also included a free wifi device and a Sim card to ease any potential emergency communication and to help for booking ahead. Robert also took our postcards to the post office, bought stamps, and mailed them for us when we got worn down by the endless lines at each post office we tried to go to. As noted, the pickup is extremely easy and Simon and company will give a thorough but succinct walk through of all equipment. No need to worry if you haven't been offroading or used a popup tent, they will explain it all. Honestly, 4x4 is overkill for 98% of the places you might realistically go in namibia, but the high clearance and high quality shocks and struts on their trucks really increase the comfort on all the washboard dirt roads. Overall Go Rent was a superb choice with amazing employees. They made the whole process easy, answered any questions, and did all the small things to maximize our trip. Would definitely recommend. Amazing experience. We rented three cars. The vehicles were new and everything was thought out down to the smallest detail. There was even a little ventilation window so the luggage wouldn’t get covered in dust. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The equipment set was super well thought out, including things like sponges for washing dishes, binoculars, and all sorts of handy little things. The organization was outstanding. Reise durch Namibia
Es war eine tolle Reise! Mein Mann und ich haben ein Auto von Go Rent Namibia 4x4 Rentals gemietet und sind mit dem Auto kreuz und quer durch Namibia gefahren. Eine Reise mit dem Auto ist, wahrscheinlich, die einzige Möglichkeit zu reisen da. Und ohne Auto kommt man nicht in ein Naturpark rein! Da ist es streng verboten (und gefährlich) aus dem Auto auszusteigen!Also, wir könnten in Namibia reisen und den Naturpark Etosha und die Küste besichtigen. In Etosha haben wir unglaublich viele Tieren gesehen, die man sonst nur aus einem Zoo Besucht kennt - Elephanten, Giraffen und anderen. Es war einfach atemberaubend! Es gibt Campinge im Park, allerdings muss man rechtzeitig reinkommen, mit dem Sonnenuntergang werden sie geschlossen. Am Anfang haben wir Angst gehabt, ob wir alles gut hinkriegen, abet das Zelt Aufbauen war sehr leicht, weil die Zelt auf dem Dach platziert war. Auspacken, auf der Leitung ziehen - und fertig! Richtig faszinierend! Neben alle unsere Campingplätze gab es Wasserlösliche, zu die Tieren zum Trinken kommen. Wir konnten die Tieren Tags und Nachts beobachten. Faszinierend!Und unser Auto hat uns das Leben leicht gemacht, weil da einfach alles, was man brauch, drin war.Wir können das Go Rent Namibia 4x4 Rentals jeden empfehlen. Übrigens, die Besitzer, Rian und Robert, sind sehr sympathische Menschen, mit sie man auch so, nicht nur geschäftlich, gerne unterhält. Outstanding service! Robert and his team were truly exceptional, going above and beyond to ensure a seamless experience from start to finish.

The vehicles were in pristine condition, and Robert was always just a phone call away. Any minor issues were resolved quickly, with solutions provided in minutes.

We affectionately named our car Bruce, and Bruce was incredible! Namibia was absolutely breathtaking, and thanks to Robert and the team at Go Rent Namibia 4x4, we enjoyed the adventure of a lifetime.

As a young, experienced travel couple from London, UK, with over 100 countries visited between us, we’ve dealt with plenty of car hire companies and this was by far one of the best experiences we’ve ever had.

Rented a Hilux with roof tent for a 3 week self-drive around Namibia. Vehicle and camping equipment were all in excellent condition and we managed to avoid a flat tire the entire 3 weeks despite driving on some very rough roads. The pricing was clear and I liked that the quote included windscreen and tire insurance coverage. Some of the other companies will give you a lower initial quote because there will be various fees added on later. Communication was quick whenever we needed to contact the office during our trip. Wir haben ausschließlich beste Erfahrungen mit Go Rent Namibia gemacht. Der neuwertige Toyota Hilux 4x4 Double Cab mit Dachzelt war in einem erstklassigen Zustand. Die Campingausstattung war sehr umfangreich, saubere Handtücher, warme Decken und Schlafsäcke waren ebenfalls vorhanden. Der Service des ganzen Teams war hervorragend. Christina war stets erreichbar, um im Vorfeld, als auch während der Reise zu unterstützen und alle Fragen zu beantworten. Die Übergabe und Einweisung mit Robert und Simon war perfekt. Wir wurden trotz Flugverspätung noch abends am Flughafen abgeholt, um die Fahrzeugübergabe am nächsten Morgen nachholen zu können. I would totally recommend Go Rent to anyone looking to explore the beauty that is Namibia in a reliable 4x4 bakkie.

Weeks leading to our visit, Christina was very helpful until the end of our trip. Riaan, Robert and Ons were really really helpful in helping us get acquainted with the 4x4 bakkie.

The bakkie was a pleasure to drive on gravel and tar road, had all you need for camping.

The Go Rent team made our arrival and depature seamless and the complementary in-car WIFI is such a life saver if you don’t already have a simcard

We rented our 4x4 Toyota Hilux online. The Service via email was exzellent. When we arrived in Windhoek we got picked up and drove to the City where the car was Waiting for us. On the way we got a very good Briefing about the car, the roads and our trip. When arrived the owner Robert gave us an 1 Hour Full detailed explanation. We discussed the Whole Trip with suggestions. We felt fully prepared Before we started the trip. Our car was completely cleaned, brandnew tyres and 2 spare tyres. All Camping Equipment included. Nothing more needed. Robert gave us wifi for free (sim Card + repeater) and he gave us his personal WhatsApp so we could reach out to him. Whenever we needed him, he replied within Minutes! It was so nice to know he is always there to help and support. He recommended us in Almost every stop car repair Shops we could Go, in case we needed spare Parts or just a car Check.

Really good company and people.From the owner Robert, that helps you from the beginning to all their workers Christina and Simon are really good people and employees.We get a small problem with the csr, and Robert has spoken with a Wearhouse in our trip way, so we just let the car there and make some shops, after this, everything was checked and solved wiouth paying anything. From start to finish, everything was exceptionally well-arranged.
My girlfriend and I recently rented a 4x4 here for a week in Namibia, and we can say that, from start to finish, everything was exceptionally well-arranged. The journey began when Rian picked us up at the airport. Right from the get-go, we noticed they are focused on good customer service. They didn't just hand us the keys and send us on our way; they took the time to ensure we understood everything about the vehicle and explained every detail, even if it took a couple of times for us to grasp... As for the car itself, it was in very good condition and came fully equipped with everything we needed for our camping tour in Namibia. Not sure whether we were lucky but we didn't have any issues with the tires and overall we felt confident and well-prepared for the terrain. In summary, they exceeded our expectations, and I would enthusiastically give them a major 5-star review. Genuinely hope to return to Namibia soon and if we do a tour by car again, I will know where to rent :). Thank you Rian for making our Namibian adventure one for the books! (Another good customer service side story: when I arrived at the office to pick up the car, I realized that I forgot my contact lenses at home. What a gem!
Look no further! Robert and his team provided more than excellent service and their prices were very competitive. We had the Hilux twin cab vehicle with camping equipment. Everything was provided and complete - all we had to do was take our food and drinks along. Super awesome car rental company to choose if you travel in Namibia. All their team members did a great job to their customers. With free return airport shuttle, free simcard & wifi device and binocular, it really makes your travel plan went smoothly. We rented a Toyota Hilux 4x4 with 2 rooftop tents. The service is amazing. The equipment complete. They really go the extra mile. Even made sure we  had beer for the first few days. WARNING. In Namibia the stop selling alcohol after 14:00 on Saterday to Monday.

Affidarsi a Go Rent Namibia per il noleggio del nostro 4x4 con tenda è stata un'ottima decisione. Siamo stati accolti da Simon, puntuale e cordiale, che ci ha accompagnato presso la sede di Windhoek. Dopo un caffè e una spiegazione dettagliata sul percorso e sul funzionamento del veicolo, ci è stato consegnato un Toyota Hilux in ottime condizioni e completo di tutto. L'equipaggiamento era davvero eccellente: dal Wi-Fi di bordo alle torce, binocolo, coperte, sacchi a pelo e tutto il necessario per cucinare e grigliare (inclusi detersivo e spugnette). Anche la riconsegna è stata rapida e senza intoppi. Un ringraziamento speciale a Christina, gentilissima e disponibile sia via mail che su WhatsApp, e a tutto il team per l'assistenza. We had an amazing trip!

The cars and especially the service from Simon, Christina and Robert is excellent. The cars are well equipped and performed excellent. When checking-in make some room in your travel planning: they provide you with a great walkthrough of the car and will even help you with your route. That takes some time. We left full of confidence in the car, our route and the equipment. Ready to explore Namibia. Checkout/return was super fast and a breeze.

I've rented a 4×4 Toyota Hilux with a rooftop tent with Go Rent Namibia and my experience was very good.

Their cars are new, with everything you need for a smooth camping experience (and I really mean everything). Also, we felt very supported by their team on all steps of our trip (thank you Christina and Jessica!). During our 2-week drive we had a minor issue with 2 broken locks on the back of the car (this was not the company's fault) and their team immediately directed us to a car shop in the vicinity of our location, which fixed the problem in 30 minutes, free of charge.

Go Rent Namibia 4x4 Rental was amazing, they have been proactive on our demand. The 4x4 was also super nice, everything went super smooth, from the pickup at the airport until we get back the car at the agency. I highly recommend their services.

Amazing car that held up through gravel roads on our 9 day trip. Robert, Christina, and Simon are very knowledgeable and easy to chat with 24/7 for any needs. THE BEST COMPANY IN NAMIBIA
We have rented 4x4 cars equipped for many years in different countries. NONE ARE COMPARABLE TO GO RENT NAMIBIA 4X4!!!! The car was practically new and in perfect condition. It carries all the necessary equipment and much more, for example, WIFI, binoculars, all kinds of junk and cooking utensils, flashlight...etc. and what to say about Robert, the owner of the company. Excellent treatment, honest person, helps you in everything, and if you have any problems, or doubts, you can always contact him. The rental also includes transfer to and from the airport. We rented a Hilux with tent for 4 weeks, driving from Victoria Falls, round the Okavango Delta through Savuti and Maun and followed the Kunene river to Epupa. Then through Etosha, Waterberg and Erongo to Windhoek.The almost new vehicle did it's job well. The camping gear was acceptable but the fridge had it's issues, as did the gas cooker.Overall great value for money. Handover was superb at both ends.Would recommend the company.

Świetna wypożyczalnia, a przede wszystkim bardzo życzliwi i pomocni pracownicy. Szczególnie chciałbym podziękować właścicielowi - Robertowi, który w profesjonalny sposób zaopiekował się całą naszą grupą (wypożyczaliśmy 4 samochody, w tym 2 na 4 tygodnie), omówił wszystkie sprawy związane z bezpiecznym użytkowaniem aut, a jego sugestie dotyczące miejsc wartych odwiedzenia, restauracji, a nawet campów - w 10. Kontakt podczas całej wyprawy, niezależnie od dnia / godziny, gdy tylko coś potrzebowaliśmy lub mieliśmy wątpliwości. Super kontakt, uprzejmość, życzliwość i pomoc także uzyskaliśmy ze strony Simona, dziękujemy. Samochody to nowe Toyoty Hilux, rocznik 2024/2025, z przebiegiem około 70-80000 km. Świetne przygotowane, opony super, koła zapasowe 2, nie przydały się mimo jazdy w trudnym terenie. Wyposażenie campingowe, aż nadto, 4 wielkie skrzynie, więc właściwie noc nie trzeba brać ze sobą. W namiotach kołdry, poduszki, koce... My mieliśmy własne śpiwory, bo lubimy, jetboila, żeby szybko gotować wodę - resztę znajdziecie w wyposażeniu. Nawet power station dostaliśmy! I przydała się na tych campach, na których nie było prądu, a są takie! Podsumowując, świetna wypożyczalnia, doskonały kontakt mailowy przed wyjazdem (wszystkie ustalenia zaakceptowane - np. wjazd do Botswany), świetne nowe auta.

wir hatten uns bei robert und seiner firma einen toyota hillux 4x4 gemietet für 14 tage. das auto wurde uns blitzsauber übergeben und alle technischen sachen wurde top erklärt.
versicherung und alle fragen die das thema betreffen werden auch ausführlich erklärt.
wir hatten auf unserer tour keine technischen pannen oder reifenplatzer oder sonstiges.
in namibia kommt es auf ein top auto an, sonst kann der urlaub auch schnell mal nervenaufreibend werden. läuft das auto, läuft auch der rest. man fährt oft weite strecken und dazu auch noch alleine, sprich ohne jeden gegenverkehr oder ortschaften.

robert bietet auch das buchen von unterkünften an!
zudem kann man sim karten und wlan für das auto dazu buchen. kostet natürlich ein paar euro mehr, aber lohnt sich auf jeden fall. fast das ganze land ist lte technisch gut abgedeckt.

alles in allem ein top erlebnis!!!!
nicht zu empfehlen ist discover airline.
am 3. jan sollte der rückflug sein, tatsächlich wurden aber erst am 8. januar rückflüge organisiert. angeblich einer der beiden flieger kaputt. auf der strecke gibt es aber schon ca. 1 jahr probleme. das nur am rande.

I was looking for a last minute option to rent a 4x4 and Go Rent turned out to be an exceptional one. Robert, the owner, has been of great support and his team including Jessica in client support and their operations manager Simon made sure I had everything for my trip. They were very flexible, friendly and always supportive. All the time I had questions even while touring they helped out on whatsapp. Robert has wide knowledge about all the tours you can do and will help you craft an amazing plan.

A good choice for renting a 4x4 car to travel around Namibia
We have just finished a trip around Namibia with a Nissan Navarro 4x4 with 2 tents for our family of four, rented from Go Rent Namibia 4x4 Rentals. The car was great and the camping equipment you get with the car really has everything: everything you need for sleeping (sheets, pillows, blankets, extra blanket), plates, cups, cutlery, dishes, cooker, table, chairs, barbecue equipment, binoculars, multitool, one SIM card with a Namibian number and a WiFi unit for the car. The beginning was a bit unpleasant, because we had agreed to pick us up at the airport, but when we arrived, there was no transport. But from there on, everything was great. That's why I'm also convinced that the beginning was just a coincidence that wouldn't have happened otherwise. They picked us up at the hostel and later drove us to the airport. At the time of the pickup, we also went through our itinerary together and even when we had ignition issues in the meantime, we had great communication and we got everything sorted out together. Very friendly people, nice car. We really enjoyed the trip and also Go Rent Namibia 4x4 Rentals is one part of our beautiful experience.

24 días conduciendo por Namibia y Botsuana.
Para nuestro primer viaje por Namibia y Botsuana decidimos alquilar un 4x4 de la marca Nissan NP300 con equipo de camping completo (tienda de campaña, utensilios de cocina, mesa, sillas, nevera, prismáticos, etc). El coche estaba en perfecto estado, muy fiable y equipado con muy buenos neumáticos. El primer día tuvimos un percance y pinchamos pero al tener el material necesario pudimos arreglarlo sin ningún problema.
En cuanto al trato con los trabajadores de la empresa, ha sido espectualar; Robert nos explico todo lo que debíamos saber con exactitud e intentaba que nos quedase todo claro haciendo explicaciones en castellano. Además, a la hora de hacer el pago como en España nos daba error pudimos hacer todo el pago allí mismo el día de la recogida del vehículo.
Por otra parte, en la mitad de nuestro recorrido tuvimos un percance (se nos rompió la dirección del coche), nada mas comunicarlo nos dio una solución y al día siguiente estabamos en un tayer arreglándolo sin afectar a nuestro itinerario.
Por último, el trayecto del aeropuerto a la ciudad esta cubierto, es decir, te llevan el primer día y el último de tu estancia, gesto que se agradece ya que el aeropuerto no esta muy cerca de la ciudad. Por lo tanto, recomendamos %100 alquilar con la empresa Go Rent.
