Robert, Alicia and Simon were all extremely accommodating. The equipment and car were exactly what was needed - everything thought of to travel the country and camp. Nothing was too much hassle, providing practical and tourist tips alongside supporting you on the road with questions or recommendations. The flexibility that was afforded to us really helped as we had two quick turn-arounds due to flight times. The car was great, we really enjoyed the Hilux. Super safe and easy to drive. Alles war perfekt, man fühlte sich super aufgehoben, jederzeit war jemand vom Team erreichbar, alles war komplett und super ausgestattet. Alle im Team sind super freundlich, kompetent und erreichbar. Kundenservice vor Ort, Anweisungen und Tipps sind klasse. Der Fahrer Simon holte und am Airport ab und wartete trotz Passkontrolle über eine Stunde und war schon da. Ronny Friedrich6 January 2025wir hatten uns bei robert und seiner firma einen toyota hillux 4x4 gemietet für 14 tage. das auto wurde uns blitzsauber übergeben und alle technischen sachen wurde top erklärt. versicherung und alle fragen die das thema betreffen werden auch ausführlich erklärt. wir hatten auf unserer tour keine technischen pannen oder reifenplatzer oder sonstiges. in namibia kommt es auf ein top auto an, sonst kann der urlaub auch schnell mal nervenaufreibend werden. läuft das auto, läuft auch der rest. man fährt oft weite strecken und dazu auch noch alleine, sprich ohne jeden gegenverkehr oder ortschaften. robert bietet auch das buchen von unterkünften an! zudem kann man sim karten und wlan für das auto dazu buchen. kostet natürlich ein paar euro mehr, aber lohnt sich auf jeden fall. fast das ganze land ist lte technisch gut abgedeckt. alles in allem ein top erlebnis!!!! nicht zu empfehlen ist discover airline. am 3. jan sollte der rückflug sein, tatsächlich wurden aber erst am 8. januar rückflüge organisiert. angeblich einer der beiden flieger kaputt. auf der strecke gibt es aber schon ca. 1 jahr probleme. das nur am rande. schönen urlaub allen reisenden! ronny aus hamburgPosted on Google

Diogo Guimarães27 March 2026Amazing experience, 100% recommended I've rented a 4×4 Toyota Hilux with a rooftop tent with Go Rent Namibia and my experience was very good. Their cars are new, with everything you need for a smooth camping experience (and I really mean everything). Also, we felt very supported by their team on all steps of our trip (thank you Christina and Jessica!). During our 2-week drive we had a minor issue with 2 broken locks on the back of the car (this was not the company's fault) and their team immediately directed us to a car shop in the vicinity of our location, which fixed the problem in 30 minutes, free of charge. Zu erwähnen gilt auch, dass ein WLAN im Auto dabei ist und man sich das kaufen der SIM Karte spart. Wenn es Probleme geben sollte ist jemand immer erreichbar und versucht dieses zu lösen. Szymon Czerny4 August 2026Szczerze polecam tę wypożyczalnie. Począwszy od bardzo dobrej organizacji (transport z i na lotnisko, płynny odbiór i zdanie samochodu, responsywność na Whatsapp). Same samochody są nowe i swietnie utrzymane - przejechaliśmy 2300 km i ani razu nie napotkaliśmy problemu. We have gone a group of 8 relatives and we wanted to go all together, and not have to drive ourselves. We contacted Robert and since they do not have vehicles of that capacity, he was in charge of locating one of the features we needed, and with trailer for luggage. We were looking for an experienced driver and took care of booking your accommodation during the 14 days of our trip. He helped us with everything we needed and kept an eye on our tour, continually contacting the driver, if there were any problems. Vehicle equipped with navigator, wifi, refrigerator, binoculars, everything needed for the trip. Ultimately it was an unforgettable experience, which Robert totally contributed to make it happen. Linie lotnicze zgubiły mój bagaż, nie było czasu na czekanie bo plan podróży i rezerwację noclegow zrobione wcześniej. Zaproponowali odebranie mojego bagażu z lotniska i nadanie go do miejscowości gdzie będziemy się zatrzymywać. Uratowało to nasz plan za co jestem bardzo wdzięczna. Samochód przygotowany perfekcyjnie, wszystko czego nam potrzeba na campingach było, namioty pościel wszystko przygotowane idealnie. Wi fi w aucie. Podróżowalismy tym autem 3 tygodnie, obsługa przygotowała nam dokumenty na inne kraje więc spokojnie mogliśmy przekraczać granice. Odbiór z lotniska i transfer na lotnisko, kontakt w każdym momencie jeśli tylko jest potrzeba. Very useful the fridge, additional blankets, dishes and the necessary for cooking and BBQ, in addition to the tent. We made a 25-day trip and covered over 5,000 km. Everything perfect no problem. There was even a little ventilation window so the luggage wouldn’t get covered in dust. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The equipment set was super well thought out, including things like sponges for washing dishes, binoculars, and all sorts of handy little things. The organization was outstanding. Lisa14 June 2025I don’t usually leave reviews on Google Maps or TripAdvisor, but I’m making an exception because the experience with Go Rent Namibia 4x4 Rentals was truly outstanding. We were a group of nine students and were warmly welcomed by Robert and Simon, who took great care of us from start to finish. The free airport transfer to our accommodation and the following day’s ride to the agency made things so smooth. Each car came with a Wi-Fi hotspot and a local SIM card. All the camping equipment was included: sleeping bags, pillows, utensils, lamps, chairs, tables, and more. Robert even added a tent, mattress, and extra bedding free of charge so that no one had to sleep in the car. Binoculars and walkie-talkies were also thoughtfully provided. Moreover, Robert reviewed our itinerary with us and gave valuable advice on places to visit. On the day of our return, we unfortunately hit a warthog. With very limited time before our flight, Robert was incredibly responsive, guided us through remote repair steps with video instructions, and ensured we didn’t miss our flight. The customer service was excellent throughout. I highly recommend this agency for its flexibility, kindness, and professionalism ☺️ A special mention for international students: no extra charge for additional drivers and no strict delay required between license issuance and driving the vehicle, an agency that truly understands and supports young travelers.Posted on Google

My wife and I spent 7 days renting a dual cab Hilux with rooftop tent from Go Rent. The vehicle was modern and spotless, with new and well maintained equipment (including portable WiFi and remote tyre pressure sensors) and thoughtful little details that make life on the trail a bit easier (eg fridge/freezer on separate battery circuit, full cast iron cookware, washing up liquid and brush, fire-lighting kit with head torch). Go Rent is a family business and Robert has a friendly, easygoing, client-centric approach. In a true sense, he takes his clients under his wing and does his best to ensure that they have the best possible experience. He arranged transfers for us from WDH and offered us cold drinks and a leisurely chat about our plans, offering his own ideas and support. Robert took time and care to explain his equipment and to ensure we felt confident and safe. Upon check-out, Robert even offered to let us quickly borrow another vehicle to go to the shops down the road, after we had returned our vehicle for another client. The colleagues from Go Rent managed to bring the jeep directly to our hotel, gave us a professional introduction into the safety features. needless to say that the jeep was in a perfect technical condition. I mean to travel Namibia is not like travelling in Europe! I personally lavoed the tyre pressure control device - this is a really useful gimmick. I saw on the road others with destroyed tyres, who mentioned the pressure loss to late! The tent was in good condition, everything clean and fresh. The car a Nissan was and stayed in a very good condition except for a puncture tyre but that was also professionally solved by Robert. The camping equipment is over complete. Everything was on board. Para nuestro primer viaje por Namibia y Botsuana decidimos alquilar un 4x4 de la marca Nissan NP300 con equipo de camping completo (tienda de campaña, utensilios de cocina, mesa, sillas, nevera, prismáticos, etc). El coche estaba en perfecto estado, muy fiable y equipado con muy buenos neumáticos. El primer día tuvimos un percance y pinchamos pero al tener el material necesario pudimos arreglarlo sin ningún problema. En cuanto al trato con los trabajadores de la empresa, ha sido espectualar; Robert nos explico todo lo que debíamos saber con exactitud e intentaba que nos quedase todo claro haciendo explicaciones en castellano. Además, a la hora de hacer el pago como en España nos daba error pudimos hacer todo el pago allí mismo el día de la recogida del vehículo. Por otra parte, en la mitad de nuestro recorrido tuvimos un percance (se nos rompió la dirección del coche), nada mas comunicarlo nos dio una solución y al día siguiente estabamos en un tayer arreglándolo sin afectar a nuestro itinerario. Por último, el trayecto del aeropuerto a la ciudad esta cubierto, es decir, te llevan el primer día y el último de tu estancia, gesto que se agradece ya que el aeropuerto no esta muy cerca de la ciudad. Por lo tanto, recomendamos %100 alquilar con la empresa Go Rent.Posted on Google

Ana Costiniu4 March 2025From start to finish, renting a car with camping equipment from Robert (the owner) was seamless. Everyone we talked to at this company was highly professional and super friendly and kind. They were flexible and accommodating for everything we needed - we received all the information we could have needed, tips for sights, technical pointers and rides back and forth from the hotel and to the airport. I honestly cannot think of anything they could have done better. We had a Toyota Hilux 2.4 4x4 automatic with camping gear for 11 days and everything ran perfectly. Many people say that they had flat tires or car trouble in Namibia due to the road conditions, but we had zero incidents in 11 days - the car was perfect: comfortable, equipped with more than we needed, in perfect condition. A special thank you to Simon, who was really kind, funny and accommodating (Robert, give Simon a raise! :D) and to Christina, who made our planning smooth and easy! Christina, Simone and Robert ensured we had all the information and equipment we needed and arranged a Namibian sim and portable WiFi device and airport pick ups and drop offs which were much appreciated. We traveled ~4,000km (~2,500 miles) on gravel, tar and some sand roads to visit several of Namibia’s National Parks (inc. Namib-Nauklauft, Dorob, Etosha and Waterburg). It was simply perfect! So much better than the experience we had 10 years before during our first trip. At this time, we had rented to a larger, South Africa-based company and had many problems with the car (3 flat tires during the first few hundred kilometres of the trip, problems with the batterie…). This time, we decided to rent with Namibia based Go Rent Namibia 4x4, and we highly recommend! The car was great, very reliable and equipped with very good tires, which is quite important when traveling in remote places. The roof tents and camping equipment were also perfect. Everything was well thought, with four boxes containing all what you need for comfort throughout the trip: everything you need to make a fire, cook, eat, sleep (extra blankets…), and enjoy nature (binoculars, headlamp…). Frankly you can feel that the team is used to do camping and knowns what is needed to make your trip incredibly comfortable and enjoyable. A special mention to Simon, who picked us up and dropped us off at the airport, and with whom we had a great chat. Many thanks to Robert and all the team also. We were a group of nine students and were warmly welcomed by Robert and Simon, who took great care of us from start to finish. The free airport transfer to our accommodation and the following day’s ride to the agency made things so smooth. Each car came with a Wi-Fi hotspot and a local SIM card. All the camping equipment was included: sleeping bags, pillows, utensils, lamps, chairs, tables, and more. Robert even added a tent, mattress, and extra bedding free of charge so that no one had to sleep in the car. Binoculars and walkie-talkies were also thoughtfully provided. Moreover, Robert reviewed our itinerary with us and gave valuable advice on places to visit. On the day of our return, we unfortunately hit a warthog. Robert and his Go Rent team run a high-quality family-run operation for 4x4 rentals in Namibia. My wife and I spent 7 days renting a dual cab Hilux with rooftop tent from Go Rent. The vehicle was modern and spotless, with new and well maintained equipment (including portable WiFi and remote tyre pressure sensors) and thoughtful little details that make life on the trail a bit easier (eg fridge/freezer on separate battery circuit, full cast iron cookware, washing up liquid and brush, fire-lighting kit with head torch). Go Rent is a family business and Robert has a friendly, easygoing, client-centric approach. In a true sense, he takes his clients under his wing and does his best to ensure that they have the best possible experience. He arranged transfers for us from WDH and offered us cold drinks and a leisurely chat about our plans, offering his own ideas and support. Robert took time and care to explain his equipment and to ensure we felt confident and safe. Upon check-out, Robert even offered to let us quickly borrow another vehicle to go to the shops down the road, after we had returned our vehicle for another client. The colleagues from Go Rent managed to bring the jeep directly to our hotel, gave us a professional introduction into the safety features. needless to say that the jeep was in a perfect technical condition. I mean to travel Namibia is not like travelling in Europe! I personally lavoed the tyre pressure control device - this is a really useful gimmick. I saw on the road others with destroyed tyres, who mentioned the pressure loss to late! The tent was in good condition, everything clean and fresh. Para nuestro primer viaje por Namibia y Botsuana decidimos alquilar un 4x4 de la marca Nissan NP300 con equipo de camping completo (tienda de campaña, utensilios de cocina, mesa, sillas, nevera, prismáticos, etc). El coche estaba en perfecto estado, muy fiable y equipado con muy buenos neumáticos. El primer día tuvimos un percance y pinchamos pero al tener el material necesario pudimos arreglarlo sin ningún problema. En cuanto al trato con los trabajadores de la empresa, ha sido espectualar; Robert nos explico todo lo que debíamos saber con exactitud e intentaba que nos quedase todo claro haciendo explicaciones en castellano. Además, a la hora de hacer el pago como en España nos daba error pudimos hacer todo el pago allí mismo el día de la recogida del vehículo. Por otra parte, en la mitad de nuestro recorrido tuvimos un percance (se nos rompió la dirección del coche), nada mas comunicarlo nos dio una solución y al día siguiente estabamos en un tayer arreglándolo sin afectar a nuestro itinerario. Por último, el trayecto del aeropuerto a la ciudad esta cubierto, es decir, te llevan el primer día y el último de tu estancia, gesto que se agradece ya que el aeropuerto no esta muy cerca de la ciudad. Everyone we talked to at this company was highly professional and super friendly and kind. They were flexible and accommodating for everything we needed - we received all the information we could have needed, tips for sights, technical pointers and rides back and forth from the hotel and to the airport. I honestly cannot think of anything they could have done better. We had a Toyota Hilux 2.4 4x4 automatic with camping gear for 11 days and everything ran perfectly. Many people say that they had flat tires or car trouble in Namibia due to the road conditions, but we had zero incidents in 11 days - the car was perfect: comfortable, equipped with more than we needed, in perfect condition. A special thank you to Simon, who was really kind, funny and accommodating (Robert, give Simon a raise! :D) and to Christina, who made our planning smooth and easy! Christina, Simone and Robert ensured we had all the information and equipment we needed and arranged a Namibian sim and portable WiFi device and airport pick ups and drop offs which were much appreciated. We traveled ~4,000km (~2,500 miles) on gravel, tar and some sand roads to visit several of Namibia’s National Parks (inc. Namib-Nauklauft, Dorob, Etosha and Waterburg). It was simply perfect! So much better than the experience we had 10 years before during our first trip. At this time, we had rented to a larger, South Africa-based company and had many problems with the car (3 flat tires during the first few hundred kilometres of the trip, problems with the batterie…). This time, we decided to rent with Namibia based Go Rent Namibia 4x4, and we highly recommend! The car was great, very reliable and equipped with very good tires, which is quite important when traveling in remote places. The roof tents and camping equipment were also perfect. Everything was well thought, with four boxes containing all what you need for comfort throughout the trip: everything you need to make a fire, cook, eat, sleep (extra blankets…), and enjoy nature (binoculars, headlamp…). Frankly you can feel that the team is used to do camping and knowns what is needed to make your trip incredibly comfortable and enjoyable. A special mention to Simon, who picked us up and dropped us off at the airport, and with whom we had a great chat. Many thanks to Robert and all the team also. The paperwork was handled really smoothly, around a nice cup of coffee! Weeks leading to our visit, Christina was very helpful until the end of our trip. Riaan, Robert and Ons were really really helpful in helping us get acquainted with the 4x4 bakkie. The bakkie was a pleasure to drive on gravel and tar road, had all you need for camping.
