From the booking process managed by Christina, through the pick-up at the airport with Simon to the car hand over with the owner Robert who also provided great tips for our trip.Everything was handled with great professionalism, care and friendliness, they are easy to contact and extremely fast in answering all questions. This is definitely the best company to rent a 4x4 from. The car was awesome! They give free wifi device, free sim card and all the tool you need for the drive. The vehicle was in tip top condition with few miles on the clock. We hired it for 5 weeks and it performed faultlessly. Robert and his team - with special mentions for Simon and Alicia - went above and beyond to brief us in a relaxed way about driving in Namibia and support us during our visit. When my wife’s passport was lost/stolen they were amazingly helpful. They (Simon) drove our two companions many miles to our next destination (in South Africa!) while we awaited an emergency passport, and then Alicia personally delivered the passport to us at a lodge in the Kalahari. Great experience Robert provided a great service for our group of 18 people and was always reachable at any time. Even when our car broke down Robert went out of his way to get to us (5 hours drive) and bring a new vehicle and repair the broken one. The cars were in a great condition and brought us safely everywhere we had to go. Shawn Law15 June 2026I had an excellent experience renting a 4x4 from this company for my 12-day self-drive trip around Namibia. One thing that impressed me right from the start was that they managed to secure a Toyota Hilux 4x4 for us even though we booked only about a month before our trip. Given how popular 4x4 rentals can be in Namibia, especially during peak travel periods, we were very grateful for their help. What really stood out was the level of service. They arranged private transfers from the airport to our accommodation in Windhoek on the first night, from the accommodation to the rental office the next morning, and even from the rental office back to the airport at the end of the trip—all at no additional charge. Having the same driver (shoutout to Simon!) for the transfers made everything seamless and stress-free. During vehicle collection, the team went through the checklist thoroughly and took the time to explain everything in detail, which gave us a lot of confidence before starting the journey as it's our first time driving a 4x4. Another thoughtful touch was that they provided advice on recommended routes and roads to avoid based on current conditions. This local knowledge was extremely helpful and is something we have not experienced with most car rental companies. The vehicle was very well prepared. The tyre pressures were already properly set, and throughout our 12-day journey across Namibia, we had a completely smooth experience without any tyre issues, punctures, or needing to make any adjustments. I also appreciated that there was no requirement to wash the vehicle before returning it. After driving through Namibia's gravel roads and desert landscapes, being able to return the car as-is made the end of the trip much more convenient. Overall, the service was professional, friendly, and genuinely customer-focused. The team went above and beyond to make our Namibia self-drive adventure easy and enjoyable. I cannot recommend them enough for their incredible support, advice and excellent communication, both during the planning and throughout our actual road trip. Robert the owner is a very friendly guy and so are his staff. You can tell they will go out of their way to make sure your car hire and trip go smoothly. The cars and equipment are in really good condition and you will have everything you need for any style of trip you could plan, from wild camping in the bush to staying on camp site. It’s all set up in a way that you just turn up to the airport in Windhoek and from there on out you can just focus on your trip and enjoy it. Everything from SIM cards, airport transfer, cooking equipment, puncture repair kits, first aid kits, binoculars… you name it. It’s all neatly organised in the car. francesco s5 February 2024Joy on the road Sometimes life can transform your modest hopes into immense fortunes. My trip confirms this. I came to Windhoek to look for an honest renter, take a simple car, cross Namibia. At the end I found a unique and special person, who gave me a comfortable and unstoppable car, which took me safely through an enchanted world. Robert is not just a renter, first of all he is a person who loves nature and travel, and he wants to give you his experience and expertise. You tell him your needs and he provides you with the right car for you, at the right price, gives you the necessary equipment and much more, follows you through everything at any time, explains everything to you. I had asked for a budget car, which took me around 6000 km (on difficult roads), without a problem or a puncture (which is not a given, but comes from the correct preparation of the vehicle). The price also included binoculars, a SIM card, an internet router, quality equipment, a spacious and practical tent, mattress, pillows, blanket, insurance that really covers you for any inconvenience, and a taxi service. Robert does all this by treating you as a friend, not a customer, surrounded by a wonderful family that I had the honor of knowing. Robert and his wife also know how to be fantastic hosts (and fantastic cooks), having at their disposal a spacious and luxurious apartment in the most beautiful area of the city (at a negligible price). Thiebald Wouda8 December 2025We had a fantastic experience renting a car from this company. They have so many excellent reviews and rightfully so, we cannot recommend this company enough when you want to go for a self drive in Namibia. What is included in their service is an airport transfer as well for when you arrive in Namibia and when you leave to go back home again. When picking up the car they advice you on the best route to take to see as much as you can of Namibia, and also explain all the do's and dont's. During your drive you also are equipped with a WiFi device in the car such that you can always contact them if you need their help. They are super responsive, for example when we had a question about our stove and when we wanted to cross the border to enter Zimbabwe as we impulsively decided we wanted to go to the Victoria falls. In both cases they literally helped us within a minute or so. What is also very telling about a company, especially a car rental company, is how they act and respond when you have an incident with the car. Due to the roads in Botswana and the rain season, when navigating a deep trench we unfortunately hit a small tree which damaged our bumper. Again they made sure that we weren't stressed about it and we ended up not having to pay for any of the damages. For those renting a car in Namibia, always make sure to then file a police report even if its a one-sided incident with little damage as insurance companies always need this information. This is definitely different to how insurance companies work in the Netherlands for example where you wouldn't go to the police for such an incident. Luckily they let us of the hook which again underlines their level of service. The car itself was perfect for the terrain in Namibia. We went there during the rain season and although we were lucky with the weather it definitely helps on some of the muddy roads to have the 4x4. If you're looking for a solid car for a competitive price and excellent service then this is definitely the right organisation to rent from!Posted on Tripadvisor

The car was brand new and highly equipped with the best tires, we even got sim cards from the team. Christina, Peter, Robert and their team were very kind and helpful also going through our itinerary and giving us advice on the best camps, road conditions and what to avoid. I had everything I needed and more. Christina assisted me in a thorough and friendly way during enquiry phase and booking. Simon was a friendly driver both from and to the airport. Finally, Robert gave me complete info about the car and suggestions on the itinerary. The only issue I had on the trip (rental unrelated) was the classic tyre puncture. When that happened communication with Robert was prompt and efficient. As he accidentally was in the same area I was he even dropped by to make sure everything was fixed properly. As a solo traveler, this was clearly extra appreciated. Correspondence between Christina was prompt and they provided free sim cards for our phones which was indeed very handy. The car was meticulously prepared to include towel for shower, toilet papers, seasoning for meat and dishwasher cleaning kit. They provided extra sleeping bags in case it gotten too cold as we rented during the winter month which did come in handy. The only complaint we had is the pillow - too small and too soft but we could understand the rational for having such a pillow, as the entire bedding kit folded in with the tentco when it was kept. Olivier R13 September 2024Highly recommended for a smooth and enjoyable road trip in Namibia ;-) For our second trip to Namibia, we’ve rented a Toyota Hilux with Go Rent Namibia 4x4 for the entire trip (4 weeks) with standard camping equipment. It was simply perfect! So much better than the experience we had 10 years before during our first trip. At this time, we had rented to a larger, South Africa-based company and had many problems with the car (3 flat tires during the first few hundred kilometres of the trip, problems with the batterie…). This time, we decided to rent with Namibia based Go Rent Namibia 4x4, and we highly recommend! The car was great, very reliable and equipped with very good tires, which is quite important when traveling in remote places. The roof tents and camping equipment were also perfect. Everything was well thought, with four boxes containing all what you need for comfort throughout the trip: everything you need to make a fire, cook, eat, sleep (extra blankets…), and enjoy nature (binoculars, headlamp…). WJAAJW31 January 20255-star 4x4 rooftop tent car camping experience with Go Rent Namibia We had an incredible trip in our Toyota Hilux with rooftop tent and a great experience with Go Rent Namibia. When we arrived, we were picked up at the airport and the hand-over of the vehicle was smooth; the car was new and had high-quality tires, the tent worked perfectly and we had all the equipment we needed (except a dustpan and brush that they accidentally forgot to pack so we picked one up at the supermarket). We felt confident driving in this vehicle. The only thing we would suggest they add to the set-up would be a couple more pillows, as the ones we had were very thin.We read many reviews of other car companies that had bad equipment and fridges that broke down all the time - our fridge though was super reliable, it worked even when the car wasn't plugged into electric for 2-3 nights at a time. We had Apple carplay in the vehicle which was useful for Google maps and music, they also gave us a Namibian sim card for our phone, plus an internet dongle which could be plugged into the car, which provided us with wifi in most of the places we visited. It was great to have that in case of emergencies. Over the first 24 hours we had some questions about the tyre pressure monitor beeping but we were able to speak to Robert on Whatsapp and he explained everything. When we had a slash in one tyre later on in the trip, Robert even came to Swakopmund where we were staying to swap it out for us - great service. We also had a couple of nights left at the end of the trip in an apartment in Windhoek after dropping off the car - Robert kindly arranged for someone to come and take us to the airport on our last day, which was great. We loved our Namibia road trip and would highly recommend this company; we drove in a loop from Windhoek to Etosha, Spitzkoppe, Swakopmund, Sossusvlei and Kolmanskop, Quiver Tree Forest and back to Windhoek and would highly recommend this route - it took us 2 weeks. If you can/have time to do the extension down to Kolmanskop to see the ghost town, you should, it was a highlight of our trip. Thanks Robert!Posted on Google

L'auto era munita di tutto quello che avevamo bisogno: stoviglie, pentole, fornello a gas, un buon frigorifero con congelatore (noi ad inizio viaggio abbiamo comprato il giaccio che si è rivelato molto utile), tavolo, sedie,... Avevamo anche un apparecchio portatile con il WIFI (attenzione in Namibia si ha connessione solo nei centri abitati e sulle strade principali, vi consiglio dunque di scaricarvi le cartine di Google maps offline). The team was very helpful in answering all my pre-booking questions. Booking went smoothly and then at check-in we had a great experience with Robert taking the time to help us finalise the trip planning and giving us some amazing tips. Alicia helped us finish off the contract and the payment and Simon was great in showing us how to use the car and camping gear. All the camping material was very high quality and easy to use. One thing that impressed me right from the start was that they managed to secure a Toyota Hilux 4x4 for us even though we booked only about a month before our trip. Given how popular 4x4 rentals can be in Namibia, especially during peak travel periods, we were very grateful for their help. What really stood out was the level of service. They arranged private transfers from the airport to our accommodation in Windhoek on the first night, from the accommodation to the rental office the next morning, and even from the rental office back to the airport at the end of the trip—all at no additional charge. Having the same driver (shoutout to Simon!) for the transfers made everything seamless and stress-free. During vehicle collection, the team went through the checklist thoroughly and took the time to explain everything in detail, which gave us a lot of confidence before starting the journey as it's our first time driving a 4x4. Another thoughtful touch was that they provided advice on recommended routes and roads to avoid based on current conditions. This local knowledge was extremely helpful and is something we have not experienced with most car rental companies. The vehicle was very well prepared. The tyre pressures were already properly set, and throughout our 12-day journey across Namibia, we had a completely smooth experience without any tyre issues, punctures, or needing to make any adjustments. I came to Windhoek to look for an honest renter, take a simple car, cross Namibia. At the end I found a unique and special person, who gave me a comfortable and unstoppable car, which took me safely through an enchanted world. Robert is not just a renter, first of all he is a person who loves nature and travel, and he wants to give you his experience and expertise. You tell him your needs and he provides you with the right car for you, at the right price, gives you the necessary equipment and much more, follows you through everything at any time, explains everything to you. I had asked for a budget car, which took me around 6000 km (on difficult roads), without a problem or a puncture (which is not a given, but comes from the correct preparation of the vehicle). The price also included binoculars, a SIM card, an internet router, quality equipment, a spacious and practical tent, mattress, pillows, blanket, insurance that really covers you for any inconvenience, and a taxi service. Robert does all this by treating you as a friend, not a customer, surrounded by a wonderful family that I had the honor of knowing. They have so many excellent reviews and rightfully so, we cannot recommend this company enough when you want to go for a self drive in Namibia. What is included in their service is an airport transfer as well for when you arrive in Namibia and when you leave to go back home again. When picking up the car they advice you on the best route to take to see as much as you can of Namibia, and also explain all the do's and dont's. During your drive you also are equipped with a WiFi device in the car such that you can always contact them if you need their help. They are super responsive, for example when we had a question about our stove and when we wanted to cross the border to enter Zimbabwe as we impulsively decided we wanted to go to the Victoria falls. In both cases they literally helped us within a minute or so. What is also very telling about a company, especially a car rental company, is how they act and respond when you have an incident with the car. Due to the roads in Botswana and the rain season, when navigating a deep trench we unfortunately hit a small tree which damaged our bumper. Again they made sure that we weren't stressed about it and we ended up not having to pay for any of the damages. For those renting a car in Namibia, always make sure to then file a police report even if its a one-sided incident with little damage as insurance companies always need this information. This is definitely different to how insurance companies work in the Netherlands for example where you wouldn't go to the police for such an incident. Luckily they let us of the hook which again underlines their level of service. The car itself was perfect for the terrain in Namibia. We went there during the rain season and although we were lucky with the weather it definitely helps on some of the muddy roads to have the 4x4. Correspondence between Christina was prompt and they provided free sim cards for our phones which was indeed very handy. The car was meticulously prepared to include towel for shower, toilet papers, seasoning for meat and dishwasher cleaning kit. They provided extra sleeping bags in case it gotten too cold as we rented during the winter month which did come in handy. The only complaint we had is the pillow - too small and too soft but we could understand the rational for having such a pillow, as the entire bedding kit folded in with the tentco when it was kept. It was simply perfect! So much better than the experience we had 10 years before during our first trip. At this time, we had rented to a larger, South Africa-based company and had many problems with the car (3 flat tires during the first few hundred kilometres of the trip, problems with the batterie…). This time, we decided to rent with Namibia based Go Rent Namibia 4x4, and we highly recommend! The car was great, very reliable and equipped with very good tires, which is quite important when traveling in remote places. The roof tents and camping equipment were also perfect. Everything was well thought, with four boxes containing all what you need for comfort throughout the trip: everything you need to make a fire, cook, eat, sleep (extra blankets…), and enjoy nature (binoculars, headlamp…). Frankly you can feel that the team is used to do camping and knowns what is needed to make your trip incredibly comfortable and enjoyable. When we arrived, we were picked up at the airport and the hand-over of the vehicle was smooth; the car was new and had high-quality tires, the tent worked perfectly and we had all the equipment we needed (except a dustpan and brush that they accidentally forgot to pack so we picked one up at the supermarket). We felt confident driving in this vehicle. The only thing we would suggest they add to the set-up would be a couple more pillows, as the ones we had were very thin.We read many reviews of other car companies that had bad equipment and fridges that broke down all the time - our fridge though was super reliable, it worked even when the car wasn't plugged into electric for 2-3 nights at a time. We had Apple carplay in the vehicle which was useful for Google maps and music, they also gave us a Namibian sim card for our phone, plus an internet dongle which could be plugged into the car, which provided us with wifi in most of the places we visited. It was great to have that in case of emergencies. Over the first 24 hours we had some questions about the tyre pressure monitor beeping but we were able to speak to Robert on Whatsapp and he explained everything. When we had a slash in one tyre later on in the trip, Robert even came to Swakopmund where we were staying to swap it out for us - great service. We also had a couple of nights left at the end of the trip in an apartment in Windhoek after dropping off the car - Robert kindly arranged for someone to come and take us to the airport on our last day, which was great. We loved our Namibia road trip and would highly recommend this company; we drove in a loop from Windhoek to Etosha, Spitzkoppe, Swakopmund, Sossusvlei and Kolmanskop, Quiver Tree Forest and back to Windhoek and would highly recommend this route - it took us 2 weeks. If you can/have time to do the extension down to Kolmanskop to see the ghost town, you should, it was a highlight of our trip. Avevamo anche un apparecchio portatile con il WIFI (attenzione in Namibia si ha connessione solo nei centri abitati e sulle strade principali, vi consiglio dunque di scaricarvi le cartine di Google maps offline). The team was very helpful in answering all my pre-booking questions. Booking went smoothly and then at check-in we had a great experience with Robert taking the time to help us finalise the trip planning and giving us some amazing tips. Alicia helped us finish off the contract and the payment and Simon was great in showing us how to use the car and camping gear. All the camping material was very high quality and easy to use.
