The Hilux are equipped in a really heavy-duty way, these vehicles are capable of withstanding literally every possible adventure

The camping equipment in the set can cover all the needs you have for a wonderful adventure in Africa and the staff is super prepared and very kind

My wife and I had a trip of a lifetime combining our 60th birthday with a trip to Namibia for 10 days. A big part of what made this trip special and memorable was the extraordinary service and hospitality provided by Robert and his team. The vehicle was almost brand new, spotless, extremely comfortable and suited to the extremely tough road conditions a of Namibia. Robert not only gave us a local SIM card so we had cellphone coverage but an in-car WiFi that ensured we had access to Google maps which we desperately needed to navigate sometimes very remote areas. Found these guys via Goggle and they made our trip to Namibia totally stress free. They operate out of a location near downtown - about 3 mins from where we spent our first and last nights (the Hilton). Arranged to collect and drop at the airport, met at hotel to hand over the vehicle the next day, SIM card for my phone, wifi in the Hilux etc etc. They had thought of everything to make it stress free. The vehicle itself was fantastic. Sparkling clean and fresh (when we picked it up!). A dream to drive on Namibia's unpaved roads. The team really explain well how to operate it, manage tyre pressures etc. The people are just lovely. Answered any questions by WhatsApp immediately (imagine that happening with Hertz!) Be aware, Namibia is absolutely huge. Google maps overestimates the times to drive (if you're confident on unpaved roads) but be aware that you are covering massive distances. Made me laugh - for example - that the Cape Cross seal colony is a Swakopmund attraction. It's 120km north. But this is the vehicle to make it comfortable. Do not drive after dark. I did 30 mins after sunset on the motorway to get back to Windhoek. It's another world to driving in the day, and a 2 lane road would wipe you out in no time with oncoming lights. I can't comment on the price/value except that I didn't get a comparison because i) it was fair and ii) the service was exceptional. Use these guys - they're just fantastic. 24 days driving through Namibia and Botswana. For our first trip through Namibia and Botswana we decided to rent a 4x4 Nissan NP300 brand with full camping equipment (tent, kitchen utensils, table, chairs, refrigerator, binoculars, etc.). The car was in perfect condition, very reliable and equipped with very good tyres. The first day we had a mishap and we punctured but having the necessary material we were able to fix it without any problems. As for dealing with the company’s workers, it has been spectacular; Robert explained everything we should know exactly and tried to make everything clear by explaining in Spanish. In addition, when making the payment as in Spain we were mistaken we were able to make all the payment right there on the day of the pickup of the vehicle. On the other hand, in the middle of our tour we had a mishap (we broke the direction of the car), just communicating it gave us a solution and the next day we were in a workshop fixing it without affecting our itinerary. Finally, the journey from the airport to the city is covered, that is, they take you the first day and the last of your stay, gesture that is appreciated since the airport is not very close to the city. We rented a Hillux 4x4 from Robert and his team for our amazing two week Namibia trip.

From booking to pickup at the airport, to explanation of the car, everything was professional and we felt well taken car of. We got a super clean, well maintained and rather new car, with tires in perfect conditions (not a single issue during our trip).

With the car came a rooftop tent, not brand new, but in good conditions, perfectly clean and fitted clean bedsheets. As we were afraid of being cold they even gave us additional sleeping bags (that we didn’t need in the end). The car comes fully equipped with everything needed for a Namibian camping holiday. Camping table, chairs, cutlery, all sorts of pots and pans and most importantly everything for a great barbecue.

Thanks to the good state of the car we didn’t have any issues during our trip. Nevertheless we knew that we could always reach out to Robert and the Go Rent Team for assistance which was great for peace of mind travelling in a new country.

Affidarsi a Go Rent Namibia per il noleggio del nostro 4x4 con tenda è stata un'ottima decisione. Siamo stati accolti da Simon, puntuale e cordiale, che ci ha accompagnato presso la sede di Windhoek. Dopo un caffè e una spiegazione dettagliata sul percorso e sul funzionamento del veicolo, ci è stato consegnato un Toyota Hilux in ottime condizioni e completo di tutto. L'equipaggiamento era davvero eccellente: dal Wi-Fi di bordo alle torce, binocolo, coperte, sacchi a pelo e tutto il necessario per cucinare e grigliare (inclusi detersivo e spugnette). Anche la riconsegna è stata rapida e senza intoppi. Un ringraziamento speciale a Christina, gentilissima e disponibile sia via mail che su WhatsApp, e a tutto il team per l'assistenza. We had an incredible experience with Go Rent Namibia 4x4 Rentals. My colleagues and I were traveling for work and only had time for a very quick (2 night) last minute trip. Robert and his colleagues were so accommodating in letting us book only 2 days in advance. The vehicle had absolutely everything we needed for our short trip to Swakopmund. We were highly impressed with how thorough the team was in packing supplies for us. The wifi worked extremely well, and the tents were comfortable and large. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a camping experience who might have limited supplies/planning time!!! We recently returned from our 2 well trip to Namibia where we rented a 4 by 4 SUV from Go Rent.

The car was in impeccable condition and a beast on the gravel roads of Namibia. The tires were in great condition and we did not face any issues with tire punctures, which is quite common. The car is well stocked with everything you will need on your road trip. The tents are quite spacious and comfortable and spacious for 2 persons. The team was very responsive to all our queries even during our trip and were always ready to guide us. A tip for first timers is to familiarise yourself with the car and various camping equipment prior to the start of your road trip (watching videos/tutorials), so that you spend minimal time in figuring out such things on the way.

Fantastic rental company, very friendly and helpful owners and staff. I rented a hilux camping for 1 pax. It was all in perfect working order. It's not all brand new, but what's more important is the quality of the equipment. The tyres chosen are very hard to puncture and excellent quality, the suspension very resilient. The roof tent was good and sturdy, help massive rain storm nicely. For a single person the kitchen items in boxes instead to pullout drawers may not be ideal as you have to log around the boxed, but I am sure there are downsides to the drawer system as well. Due to an unusual emergency I had to shorten the trip. The owner were very understanding and incredibly helpful. Thanks so much. When I come back, I will definitely choose them again.

We had an incredible experience for 18 days around Namibia expecially thanks to the owner of Go Rent and the outstanding service they provide.The owner Robert is such a good and friendly person...and definitely very professional.He run his company in an impeccable way together with his staff Christina and Simon.As it was a last minute decision we booked our flight and the car just 2 weeks before and we haven't had time to make a proper itinerary, we basically didn't know so much about Namibia, but thanks to Robert and the usefull suggestions and tips that he gave us we had a memorable trip that we will never forget.The car was just perfect, new and very well mantained. In our case they booked the Sandwich Harbour tour.They offer a shuttle service to and from the airport, which is very useful since the airport transfer to the capital takes 40 minutes. Everything was perfect:
-transfer from the airport
-new car with the nice smell inside
-all new camping equipment
-practically new A/T tires
But the most important thing is that owners of this car rent not only give you the car, but help to plan you root day by day in Namibia. All the lodges, which they recommended were excellent.

Just perfect - overdelivered on my expectations
Perfect! I rented an almost new Hilux with rooftop for a roundtrip through Namibia. Car was equipped with really everything, staff was extremely friendly and helpful with everything. After the first day there where some unclear issues with the car and they send a new car instantly to meet me on road and exchange it - just to be sure and i would not have to worry. Unparalleled 4x4 rental with amazing service. The vehicle was in tip top condition with few miles on the clock. We hired it for 5 weeks and it performed faultlessly. Robert and his team - with special mentions for Simon and Alicia - went above and beyond to brief us in a relaxed way about driving in Namibia and support us during our visit. When my wife’s passport was lost/stolen they were amazingly helpful. They (Simon) drove our two companions many miles to our next destination (in South Africa!) while we awaited an emergency passport, and then Alicia personally delivered the passport to us at a lodge in the Kalahari. We rented two 4x4s furnished for our stay in Namibia with friends and it was great! The vehicle was very well equipped, with everything needed to travel independently: complete dishes, barbecue equipment, nothing was missing. The rooftop tents were very comfortable, perfect for sleeping well after a day of adventure. Many thanks also to the staff, very responsive and available to every question or need. Utilissimo il frigo, le coperte aggiuntive, le stoviglie ed il necessario per cucinare e BBQ, oltre alla tenda. Abbiamo fatto un viaggio di 25 giorni e percorso oltre 5.000 km. El coche que hemos alquilado es magnífico!
Estaba todo en muy buen estado, muy nuevo.
Todos los accesorios necesarios estaban a nuestra disposición! No nos faltaba de nada y todo en muy buenas condiciones.
El coche y las tiendas muy cómodas. Además éramos 5 personas y nos pusieron una tienda de camping extra para mayor comodidad.
Robert ha estado atento en todo momento por si necesitábamos algo , nos mandaba vídeos explicativos con el uso de todo y también nos dieron una explicación en persona.
Además, te ofrece recogida desde el aeropuerto!

Volveríamos a alquilar los coches con su empresa, y lo recomendamos al 100%!!

The experience was excellent. As the first point of interaction with Namibia, the team set the tone for the whole trip. From the complimetary airport transfer, refreshments and orientation for the vehicle and road conditions, you are met with friendliness, courtesy and efficiency.  The vehicle was fun and reliable, able to effectively deal with all the varying terrain we encountered. The camping equipment provided proved efficient. From basic spices to bedding, everything was carefully considered.

Vraiment génial ! Devis et réservation par mail très facile, et on vient vous chercher à l'aéroport. 4x4 en excellent état (0 crevaison), et tout le nécessaire pour camper. Les gros plus : puce 4G et borne wifi, idéal pour la navigation, et on peut les joindre à tout moment sur whatsapp en cas de problème. Polecam!polecam! I jeszcze raz polecam. Obsługa cudowna i bardzo pomocna. Linie lotnicze zgubiły mój bagaż, nie było czasu na czekanie bo plan podróży i rezerwację noclegow zrobione wcześniej. Zaproponowali odebranie mojego bagażu z lotniska i nadanie go do miejscowości gdzie będziemy się zatrzymywać. Uratowało to nasz plan za co jestem bardzo wdzięczna. Samochód przygotowany perfekcyjnie, wszystko czego nam potrzeba na campingach było, namioty pościel wszystko przygotowane idealnie. Wi fi w aucie. Podróżowalismy tym autem 3 tygodnie, obsługa przygotowała nam dokumenty na inne kraje więc spokojnie mogliśmy przekraczać granice. Odbiór z lotniska i transfer na lotnisko, kontakt w każdym momencie jeśli tylko jest potrzeba. Great trip, great service and great cars!
We had a great 2 week trip across Namibia in the 4x4. It was really well equipped with everything we needed and more for our trip. The tent was super comfy and we were provided with duvets/blankets/pillows too. Robert, Rian and team went above and beyond with anything we needed and getting the car ready and despite the bad roads and dust across Namibia, the car was amazing. Have just had the best experience with this company. From the first request for a quote for a 4x4 with camping, to us being dropped off at the airport, we have had extraordinary customer service. Everything was explained in detail. They provide everything you could possibly need and more. While we were on our travels, they checked in with us to make sure that we were okay and that we had no issues. A completely magical experience. Namibia is an amazing place to drive around, and I would recommend everyone to do it. However, when you're coming from far away and need to rent a car, it’s always a bit nerve-wracking. You’re not sure about the insurance, the large deposit, etc. The process with GoRent was perfect. When you talk to Robert and Christina, you can tell they have a genuine interest in making everything easy, and straightforward.

And much respect for Robert's availability. If there was the slightest issue with the car, we could always contact him.

Simon, the driver, provided excellent service in terms of taking us to the bus when we had to continue our journey from Windhoek. Since we had a long wait before the bus departure, he drove us to a café so we could have a coffee and then picked us up again.

We looked for a car very last minute during high season, and these guys saved us with a solid 4x4 with a lot more equipment than we had expected, such as an air compressor, tire puncture kit, flashlight and multitool. Rian and Robert were super nice and helpful during the whole rental period, gave us tips and advice on our route and even included a gas cooker and some pots for free.
