Amazing experience, 100% recommended I've rented a 4×4 Toyota Hilux with a rooftop tent with Go Rent Namibia and my experience was very good. Their cars are new, with everything you need for a smooth camping experience (and I really mean everything). Also, we felt very supported by their team on all steps of our trip (thank you Christina and Jessica!). During our 2-week drive we had a minor issue with 2 broken locks on the back of the car (this was not the company's fault) and their team immediately directed us to a car shop in the vicinity of our location, which fixed the problem in 30 minutes, free of charge. Go Rent Namibia is the the perfect example of a local company which provides an exceptional level of service at a very fair price, I 100% recommend choosing this company if you want to rent a 4×4 to drive around Namibia.Posted on Google

I would say'Go' for Go Rent 4x4. Top advices during the booking proces with Christina. A very helpful and warm welkom by Robert in WDH. The car a Nissan was and stayed in a very good condition except for a puncture tyre but that was also professionally solved by Robert. The camping equipment is over complete. Everything was on board. The staff is super friendly, generous, helpful, flexible, active and really trying their best for you to enjoy your stay in Namibia. The first day of our arrival we had some troubles with the booked accomodation and we couldn’t stay there and they took us to their office, served us bewerages and arranged everything for us. In case of any incidents (which we had) they step up right away and help sort things out so that you can carry on with your trip care free. Frank F31 July 2023A great round-trip through the North of Namibia I was for a business trip in Namibia, and luckily, I had six days off. The colleagues from Go Rent managed to bring the jeep directly to our hotel, gave us a professional introduction into the safety features. needless to say that the jeep was in a perfect technical condition. I mean to travel Namibia is not like travelling in Europe! I personally lavoed the tyre pressure control device - this is a really useful gimmick. I saw on the road others with destroyed tyres, who mentioned the pressure loss to late! The tent was in good condition, everything clean and fresh. Aylin Y4 March 2024Very reliable, professional and friendly service We have found Namibia 4x4 Rentals through a google search and it was the first company to give us a very detailed and informative quote. It was very easy to communicate with them, they explained us everything before our travel, even arranged airport pick-up and a hostel for our first night in Windhoek. Before getting the car, we went through out route with them, and they gave us very useful advice about our route. We rented two tented 4x4 car from them and it had everything we needed, a fridge, all camping equipment, Wi-fi, binoculars, etc. All equipment were quite new, and the tents were very clean&comfortable. The tires took us all the way through without even a puncture (3000 kms in 10 days). Robert checked with us every now and then to see if everything was going fine. We have been extremely satisfied with their service and I recommend Robert's company. I look forward to seeing north of Namibia next time again renting a 4x4 from Robert.Posted on Google

A big part of what made this trip special and memorable was the extraordinary service and hospitality provided by Robert and his team. The vehicle was almost brand new, spotless, extremely comfortable and suited to the extremely tough road conditions a of Namibia. Robert not only gave us a local SIM card so we had cellphone coverage but an in-car WiFi that ensured we had access to Google maps which we desperately needed to navigate sometimes very remote areas. Beatrice Bellan Lux5 February 2024Thank you so much Robert for your amazing service! We loved our nissan that took us around for 6000 km between Namibia and Botswana in 18 days, and was just great! The camping equipment was super, the bed comfy and the rooftop tent very easy to open and close, and we really took advantage of the complementary binoculars, namibian simcard and wifi(18 GB!) We got no punctures in our wheels (special wheels that are almost impossible to puncture), but having the wheel monitor was an extrasafety which we really appreciated. Robert is always available and ready to help. One of our back car fenders broke but was covered by the insurance. After this amazing holiday we enjoyed one last night in the great apartment they have for rent, and enjoyed a day with Robert and his beautiful family. Olivier Raineteau13 September 2024For our second trip to Namibia, we’ve rented a Toyota Hilux with Go Rent Namibia 4x4 for the entire trip (4 weeks) with standard camping equipment. It was simply perfect! So much better than the experience we had 10 years before during our first trip. At this time, we had rented to a larger, South Africa-based company and had many problems with the car (3 flat tires during the first few hundred kilometres of the trip, problems with the batterie…). This time, we decided to rent with Namibia based Go Rent Namibia 4x4, and we highly recommend! The car was great, very reliable and equipped with very good tires, which is quite important when traveling in remote places. The roof tents and camping equipment were also perfect. Everything was well thought, with four boxes containing all what you need for comfort throughout the trip: everything you need to make a fire, cook, eat, sleep (extra blankets…), and enjoy nature (binoculars, headlamp…). Frankly you can feel that the team is used to do camping and knowns what is needed to make your trip incredibly comfortable and enjoyable. A special mention to Simon, who picked us up and dropped us off at the airport, and with whom we had a great chat. Many thanks to Robert and all the team also. Die Campingausstattung war sehr umfangreich, saubere Handtücher, warme Decken und Schlafsäcke waren ebenfalls vorhanden. Der Service des ganzen Teams war hervorragend. Christina war stets erreichbar, um im Vorfeld, als auch während der Reise zu unterstützen und alle Fragen zu beantworten. Die Übergabe und Einweisung mit Robert und Simon war perfekt. Wir wurden trotz Flugverspätung noch abends am Flughafen abgeholt, um die Fahrzeugübergabe am nächsten Morgen nachholen zu können. We travel a lot and have rented a car in various places, but we have never experienced such great service as we received here. The owner is very nice, he explained everything in detail, how to drive safely, how to repair a wheel in case of problems, what the car is equipped with (and it was equipped with everything we needed and even more). We were given an extra sleeping bag and a blanket in case it was cold at night and beers for the first night at the campsite ;)! We had a very nice chat and coffee with the owner and the driver who took us to the airport when we returned the car. If we ever come back to Namibia we will definitely rent a car here again! Exceptional services and best quality vehicle 4x4 that we rented was exceptional, perfectly equipped for our family trip (2 adults, 3 children). Each tent had a comfortable mattress, with pillows, duvets and sleeping bags provided - a real comfort. The service was impeccable, with detailed explanations from the beginning. Very helpful and friendly owners who gave a lot of helpful travel tips. The owner showed how to unfold and fold the tent. The car had all the necessary equipment, including two refrigerators, chairs and a table. Not to mention the plates and cutlery. The car was in impeccable condition and a beast on the gravel roads of Namibia. The tires were in great condition and we did not face any issues with tire punctures, which is quite common. The car is well stocked with everything you will need on your road trip. The tents are quite spacious and comfortable and spacious for 2 persons. The team was very responsive to all our queries even during our trip and were always ready to guide us. A tip for first timers is to familiarise yourself with the car and various camping equipment prior to the start of your road trip (watching videos/tutorials), so that you spend minimal time in figuring out such things on the way. Sono venuti a prenderci in aeroporto e dopo averci offerto da bere il proprietario Robert ci ha dato alcuni ottimi consigli sulle strade da percorrere. L'auto era munita di tutto quello che avevamo bisogno: stoviglie, pentole, fornello a gas, un buon frigorifero con congelatore (noi ad inizio viaggio abbiamo comprato il giaccio che si è rivelato molto utile), tavolo, sedie,... Avevamo anche un apparecchio portatile con il WIFI (attenzione in Namibia si ha connessione solo nei centri abitati e sulle strade principali, vi consiglio dunque di scaricarvi le cartine di Google maps offline). Alan LeRédac23 September 2026We had a very good experience with Go Rent Namibia 4x4 Rentals. Everything went smoothly with a well-maintained and reliable vehicle. We drove around 3,400 km during our trip without any problems or punctures. Of course, there is always a bit of luck involved, but having good tyres from the start certainly helped! We also really appreciated the advice we received before leaving. The owner took the time to discuss our itinerary with us and gave us many useful tips and recommendations, not only about the 4x4 itself but also about travelling around Namibia in general. This was very helpful during our trip. The camping equipment provided with the vehicle was very complete and had everything we needed. The portable Wi-Fi router was also a great addition and something we really appreciated. Naturally, there are remote areas of Namibia where there is no mobile signal, and sometimes reception can also be affected by the weather, but whenever a network was available, having Wi-Fi in the vehicle was very convenient. We also appreciated the airport transfer, which made our arrival and departure much easier. Finally, a big thank you to Christina and the whole team for their kindness, availability and friendly welcome. Everyone we talked to at this company was highly professional and super friendly and kind. They were flexible and accommodating for everything we needed - we received all the information we could have needed, tips for sights, technical pointers and rides back and forth from the hotel and to the airport. I honestly cannot think of anything they could have done better. We had a Toyota Hilux 2.4 4x4 automatic with camping gear for 11 days and everything ran perfectly. Many people say that they had flat tires or car trouble in Namibia due to the road conditions, but we had zero incidents in 11 days - the car was perfect: comfortable, equipped with more than we needed, in perfect condition. A special thank you to Simon, who was really kind, funny and accommodating (Robert, give Simon a raise! :D) and to Christina, who made our planning smooth and easy! It came with absolutely everything you need for your trip - fridge, table and chairs, brai, sponge and washing up liquid, WiFi, and anything else. Only thing we needed to purchase ourselves was the food and water we would need. A highlight is the exceptional Go Rent Team - communication and service was top notch. Sam Stocks29 September 2023First and foremost, Namibia is the most beautiful country I have ever visited. Renting a truck with tents on top is the only way of seeing everything the huge country has to offer whilst remaining flexible in terms of timings (which is helpful). We rented an excellent Nissan truck with two tents on top. The car was very reliable and we never had an issue (we saw lots of people with punctures but due to some high spec tyres which are more puncture resistant and give pressure readings live to the dash this wasn’t a problem for us). The cars are equipped with everything you could ever wish for; large fridge, WiFi, Garmin, cooking equipment, the list goes on). The roof tents are ultra comfortable and spacious. We planned to spend a few nights at lodges but ended up not doing so given how comfortable the tents were. Could not recommend Namibia 4X4 highly enough!Posted on Tripadvisor

The car was practically new and in perfect condition. It carries all the necessary equipment and much more, for example, WIFI, binoculars, all kinds of junk and cooking utensils, flashlight...etc. and what to say about Robert, the owner of the company. Excellent treatment, honest person, helps you in everything, and if you have any problems, or doubts, you can always contact him. The rental also includes transfer to and from the airport. Chris w23 October 2025Good company We rented a Hilux with tent for 4 weeks, driving from Victoria Falls, round the Okavango Delta through Savuti and Maun and followed the Kunene river to Epupa. Then through Etosha, Waterberg and Erongo to Windhoek.The almost new vehicle did it's job well. The camping gear was acceptable but the fridge had it's issues, as did the gas cooker.Overall great value for money. Handover was superb at both ends.Would recommend the company.Posted on Google

From the moment we arrived we received a free airport transfer, met the owner, had coffee and a chance to discuss our route and the owner , Robbert gave us loads of ideas on things like petrol stops etc. The car was fully equipped with everything we could need for 2 weeks and we had two spare tyres which we didnt need. The car was well maintained and we had no concerns during our journey. We were also able to contact Robbert directly whilst en route with questions we had, which we did. Erin C3 March 2024The best 4x4 rental out there! Rob is a hidden gem! He sorted us with a brand new Hilux with all the camping equipment you could need for exploring Namibia! We covered 2500 km with the peace of mind of 2 spare tyres, dual batteries and luxuries such as a fridge/freezer. The cars are very capable off road and also comfortable for long hours behind the wheel with cruise control and Apple car play. The roof top tents are so easy to setup and great to sleep in. He went above and beyond with staying in touch, providing recommendations and even sorting us a new battery charger upon our return for onwards travels! 10 star and can’t wait to use Go rent Namibia again in the future!Posted on Google

Their cars are new, with everything you need for a smooth camping experience (and I really mean everything). During our 2-week drive we had a minor issue with 2 broken locks on the back of the car (this was not the company's fault) and their team immediately directed us to a car shop in the vicinity of our location, which fixed the problem in 30 minutes, free of charge. The colleagues from Go Rent managed to bring the jeep directly to our hotel, gave us a professional introduction into the safety features. needless to say that the jeep was in a perfect technical condition. I mean to travel Namibia is not like travelling in Europe! I personally lavoed the tyre pressure control device - this is a really useful gimmick. Before getting the car, we went through out route with them, and they gave us very useful advice about our route. We rented two tented 4x4 car from them and it had everything we needed, a fridge, all camping equipment, Wi-fi, binoculars, etc. All equipment were quite new, and the tents were very clean&comfortable. It was simply perfect! So much better than the experience we had 10 years before during our first trip. At this time, we had rented to a larger, South Africa-based company and had many problems with the car (3 flat tires during the first few hundred kilometres of the trip, problems with the batterie…). This time, we decided to rent with Namibia based Go Rent Namibia 4x4, and we highly recommend! The car was great, very reliable and equipped with very good tires, which is quite important when traveling in remote places. The roof tents and camping equipment were also perfect. Everything was well thought, with four boxes containing all what you need for comfort throughout the trip: everything you need to make a fire, cook, eat, sleep (extra blankets…), and enjoy nature (binoculars, headlamp…). Frankly you can feel that the team is used to do camping and knowns what is needed to make your trip incredibly comfortable and enjoyable. We were given an extra sleeping bag and a blanket in case it was cold at night and beers for the first night at the campsite ;)! The car was in impeccable condition and a beast on the gravel roads of Namibia. The tires were in great condition and we did not face any issues with tire punctures, which is quite common. The car is well stocked with everything you will need on your road trip. The tents are quite spacious and comfortable and spacious for 2 persons. The team was very responsive to all our queries even during our trip and were always ready to guide us. A tip for first timers is to familiarise yourself with the car and various camping equipment prior to the start of your road trip (watching videos/tutorials), so that you spend minimal time in figuring out such things on the way. Everything went smoothly with a well-maintained and reliable vehicle. We drove around 3,400 km during our trip without any problems or punctures. Of course, there is always a bit of luck involved, but having good tyres from the start certainly helped! We also really appreciated the advice we received before leaving. The owner took the time to discuss our itinerary with us and gave us many useful tips and recommendations, not only about the 4x4 itself but also about travelling around Namibia in general. Naturally, there are remote areas of Namibia where there is no mobile signal, and sometimes reception can also be affected by the weather, but whenever a network was available, having Wi-Fi in the vehicle was very convenient. We also appreciated the airport transfer, which made our arrival and departure much easier. Finally, a big thank you to Christina and the whole team for their kindness, availability and friendly welcome. From the complimetary airport transfer, refreshments and orientation for the vehicle and road conditions, you are met with friendliness, courtesy and efficiency. Everyone we talked to at this company was highly professional and super friendly and kind. They were flexible and accommodating for everything we needed - we received all the information we could have needed, tips for sights, technical pointers and rides back and forth from the hotel and to the airport. I honestly cannot think of anything they could have done better. We had a Toyota Hilux 2.4 4x4 automatic with camping gear for 11 days and everything ran perfectly. Many people say that they had flat tires or car trouble in Namibia due to the road conditions, but we had zero incidents in 11 days - the car was perfect: comfortable, equipped with more than we needed, in perfect condition. A special thank you to Simon, who was really kind, funny and accommodating (Robert, give Simon a raise! :D) and to Christina, who made our planning smooth and easy! The car was super clean, well organised, and in perfect condition when we picked it up. It came with absolutely everything you need for your trip - fridge, table and chairs, brai, sponge and washing up liquid, WiFi, and anything else. Only thing we needed to purchase ourselves was the food and water we would need. A highlight is the exceptional Go Rent Team - communication and service was top notch. Renting a truck with tents on top is the only way of seeing everything the huge country has to offer whilst remaining flexible in terms of timings (which is helpful). We rented an excellent Nissan truck with two tents on top. The car was very reliable and we never had an issue (we saw lots of people with punctures but due to some high spec tyres which are more puncture resistant and give pressure readings live to the dash this wasn’t a problem for us). The cars are equipped with everything you could ever wish for; large fridge, WiFi, Garmin, cooking equipment, the list goes on). The roof tents are ultra comfortable and spacious. We planned to spend a few nights at lodges but ended up not doing so given how comfortable the tents were. NONE ARE COMPARABLE TO GO RENT NAMIBIA 4X4!!!! The car was practically new and in perfect condition. It carries all the necessary equipment and much more, for example, WIFI, binoculars, all kinds of junk and cooking utensils, flashlight...etc. and what to say about Robert, the owner of the company. Excellent treatment, honest person, helps you in everything, and if you have any problems, or doubts, you can always contact him. The rental also includes transfer to and from the airport. The taxi driver, a very nice man. I can only recommend this company. I am looking forward to returning and I will definitely book again. Then through Etosha, Waterberg and Erongo to Windhoek.The almost new vehicle did it's job well. The camping gear was acceptable but the fridge had it's issues, as did the gas cooker.Overall great value for money. From the moment we arrived we received a free airport transfer, met the owner, had coffee and a chance to discuss our route and the owner , Robbert gave us loads of ideas on things like petrol stops etc. The car was fully equipped with everything we could need for 2 weeks and we had two spare tyres which we didnt need. The car was well maintained and we had no concerns during our journey. We were also able to contact Robbert directly whilst en route with questions we had, which we did. He sorted us with a brand new Hilux with all the camping equipment you could need for exploring Namibia! We covered 2500 km with the peace of mind of 2 spare tyres, dual batteries and luxuries such as a fridge/freezer. The cars are very capable off road and also comfortable for long hours behind the wheel with cruise control and Apple car play. The roof top tents are so easy to setup and great to sleep in.
