Très bonne agence de location de 4x4 avec tente sur le toit pour explorer la Namibie. Possibilité de louer à partir de 6 jours minimum. Le véhicule qui nous a été donné était en bon état et a parfaitement fonctionné pendant toute la durée du séjour (>3 semaines). Aucun pneu crevé durant le séjour, mais cela arrive fréquemment donc nous avions pris une assurance complémentaire. La tente était OK, facile à ouvrir et pas trop compliquée à refermer le matin. Le matériel fourni permet de partir sereinement : kit pour cuisiner et manger, faire un feu, pinces à linge, frigo et sa rallonge électrique, bouilloire, bidon d’essence (vide), matériel pour faire la pression des pneus, etc. La conduite était simple et nous n’avons pas eu de problème sur les divers types de routes rencontrées.Posted on Tripadvisor

We were picked up at the airport & were given information about the truck & finished a bit of paperwork & payment. The truck was wonderful. Handled well on all the roads. It was so comfortable. It was very well equipped. The day of our departure flight we were picked up at our accommodations & taken to the airport. Namibia is breathtakingly beautiful and driving on your own is a great way to explore its magnificent natural wonders. I hope to return and see more of Namibia. The team were always on hand to answer any questions or issues with the car and checked in on how our trip was going. Despite the uneven roads, our tyres were perfectly fine and had no issues during the 2 weeks we had the car! Nous avons loué un Toyota Hilux pour notre road trip de trois semaines en Namibie, et le rapport qualité-prix était excellent. Le service est impeccable du début à la fin, avec une équipe très sympathique et arrangeante. Le véhicule était moderne et robuste, et l'équipement de camping pour quatre personnes était complet. Ils nous ont aussi donné de précieux conseils sur les itinéraires et les risques liés à la conduite sur les pistes non goudronnées (d'ailleurs, pensez à prendre l'assurance pneus !). Jenny R15 May 2024Great experience and highly recommended We have rented a car for 2 1/2 weeks travelling Namibia and Botswana. Our expectations were exceeded. The car was brand new and highly equipped with the best tires, we even got sim cards from the team. Christina, Peter, Robert and their team were very kind and helpful also going through our itinerary and giving us advice on the best camps, road conditions and what to avoid. We had no issues at all with the car but when we had one question abojt the fridge we promply got a response and solution. We are very happy that we chose Go Rent Namibia. My boyfriend and I had never been to Namibia before, so we’re anticipating our trip with a bit of uncertainty. However from the moment Robert picked us up from the airport we felt relaxed. The team gave us a thorough and careful briefing before we set off for 8 days of camping. The van was in great condition and all the camping equipment was thought about. The service was top-notch, from communication to helping us arrange transportation to the hotel and the airport the next day. Robert (the owner) and his team went above and beyond, even allowing us to use an internet router on our last night in Windhoek (after we returned the car),so we could connect to the internet (Airalo e-SIM cards don't work in Namibia, be careful). You will get two SIM cards with the car. One with 25 Gb internet + another one for the calls. The car was nearly new. Toyota Hilux 4x4 with automatic gear box was very comfortable. Car is fully equipped. We didn’t even use half of the equipment on board. You will find everything you need. Hint: No need to take a sleeping bag. The tent on the top has duvets and pillows. Daniel Litsch12 May 2025Perfectly happy, combination of professionalism in a friendly atmosphere with a great team We were able to travel through Namibia for two weeks in April in a Toyota Hilux 4x4 from Robert and his team. Everything was perfectly organized from the start. We were picked up from the airport and taken to the office where we received a very warm welcome. The car was brand new, and after detailed instructions and explanations we were off. Two weeks without a hitch and we were completely happy with a great car. Robert was available at all times and was willing to drive across the country to help personally in an emergency. We were impressed by the combination of professionalism in a friendly atmosphere with a great team. We can only thank them for the fantastic time and the opportunity to get to know Namibia from this side. When we come back we will definitely rent a car from Robert and his team again. Robert the owner is a very friendly guy and so are his staff. You can tell they will go out of their way to make sure your car hire and trip go smoothly. The cars and equipment are in really good condition and you will have everything you need for any style of trip you could plan, from wild camping in the bush to staying on camp site. It’s all set up in a way that you just turn up to the airport in Windhoek and from there on out you can just focus on your trip and enjoy it. Everything from SIM cards, airport transfer, cooking equipment, puncture repair kits, first aid kits, binoculars… you name it. It’s all neatly organised in the car. Caroline's reviews27 July 2025We rented a Hillux 4x4 from Robert and his team for our amazing two week Namibia trip. From booking to pickup at the airport, to explanation of the car, everything was professional and we felt well taken car of. We got a super clean, well maintained and rather new car, with tires in perfect conditions (not a single issue during our trip). With the car came a rooftop tent, not brand new, but in good conditions, perfectly clean and fitted clean bedsheets. As we were afraid of being cold they even gave us additional sleeping bags (that we didn’t need in the end). The car comes fully equipped with everything needed for a Namibian camping holiday. Camping table, chairs, cutlery, all sorts of pots and pans and most importantly everything for a great barbecue. Thanks to the good state of the car we didn’t have any issues during our trip. Nevertheless we knew that we could always reach out to Robert and the Go Rent Team for assistance which was great for peace of mind travelling in a new country. Katherine Landuyt22 July 2026Namibia is thé destination for a roadtrip and we are happy we have chosen Go Rent Namibia for the rental of a Hilux wth 2 manual rooftents. Once you have set it up once or twice you can set it up in no time. Most important to us was the state of the car and the tyres. We drove around for 3 weeks without any problems. Robert gave us good advice on the road condition alerts. The road between Noordoever and Aus showed on google maps as closed due floodings 10 days earlier. He said roads get usally fixed fast and there is usually a way around it. He was right. Most other roads were in great conditions. The wifi box in the car is a convenient extra. An excellent 4x4 rental company, but above all, incredibly friendly and helpful people! We would especially like to thank the owner, Robert, who took excellent care of our entire group. We rented four vehicles in total, two of them for a full four weeks. Robert professionally explained everything we needed to know about using the vehicles safely, and his recommendations for places to visit, restaurants and even campsites were absolutely spot on – 10/10! Throughout our entire trip, communication was excellent. Whenever we needed advice or had any questions or doubts, we could contact them regardless of the day or time and always received help. We would also like to thank Simon for his friendliness, kindness and support – it was a pleasure dealing with him. The vehicles were relatively new Toyota Hilux 4x4s, model years 2024/2025, with around 70,000–80,000 km on the clock. They were extremely well prepared for the trip, with excellent tyres and two spare wheels. Despite driving through some challenging terrain, we never had to use either of them! The camping equipment was more than comprehensive. Each vehicle came with four large storage boxes containing practically everything you might need, so there is really no need to bring much camping equipment of your own. The rooftop tents were equipped with duvets, pillows and blankets. We brought our own sleeping bags simply because we prefer using them, as well as our Jetboil for quickly boiling water – pretty much everything else you need is already provided. We even received a portable power station, which turned out to be extremely useful at campsites without electricity – and yes, there are quite a few of those! To sum up: an excellent rental company, fantastic communication by email before our trip, all our arrangements and requests were handled exactly as agreed – including permission to take the vehicles into Botswana – and, most importantly, great, modern and very well-prepared 4x4s. We would definitely rent from them again and can highly recommend them to anyone planning a self-drive adventure in Namibia and Botswana!Posted on Google

Lea Benjamin22 April 2025This review is long overdue. We can’t say enough about the owners and people who are GoRent. They were incredibly accommodating, responsive and helped us navigate some problematic situations on our trip. Before heading out, they spent time with us to review our self-drive plan through Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe, making valuable suggestions and stayed in touch via WhatsApp. Whatever we needed, they were there. The vehicle we originally rented was a Nissan but when we picked it up it turned out to be a Toyota Hilux which was a plus. The vehicle was almost new and in great condition. It performed beautifully and was extremely capable. This is the vehicle you want for Africa as the roads are often difficult to navigate once not on the main roads. The sand is deep and the roads narrow. The vehicle handled it effortlessly. The only comments for improvement we have is the gear and kitchen and how they are set up for travel was less than ideal and made food storage and prep highly unorganized. There should be additional bins providing valuable space for groceries and dry items. We were also provided with a gas stove that was powered by butane cannisters that were nearly impossible to find outside of Windhoek (every outlet sold regular propane gas bottles). The cannisters lasted a very short period of time. Thankfully we brought our own WindBurner system and found camping gas in the City before leaving and relied on the braai facilities at campsites. The refrigerator was not reliable and stopped working a few times. We managed to fix it each time, but it was extremely frustrating. We discussed these openly with the owners who were aware of some of these issues and are proactively working on better solutions. We are confident they will remedy these shortcomings as they are personally invested in the company and are an amazing group of people. We highly recommend them. For the family of GoRent, and a special thanks to Robert and Christina, if you are ever in Canada, we’d love to see you and thank you for all your help and support on our trip. Janire D22 September 2024Exceptional 24 days driving through Namibia and Botswana. For our first trip through Namibia and Botswana we decided to rent a 4x4 Nissan NP300 brand with full camping equipment (tent, kitchen utensils, table, chairs, refrigerator, binoculars, etc.). The car was in perfect condition, very reliable and equipped with very good tyres. The first day we had a mishap and we punctured but having the necessary material we were able to fix it without any problems. As for dealing with the company’s workers, it has been spectacular; Robert explained everything we should know exactly and tried to make everything clear by explaining in Spanish. In addition, when making the payment as in Spain we were mistaken we were able to make all the payment right there on the day of the pickup of the vehicle. On the other hand, in the middle of our tour we had a mishap (we broke the direction of the car), just communicating it gave us a solution and the next day we were in a workshop fixing it without affecting our itinerary. Finally, the journey from the airport to the city is covered, that is, they take you the first day and the last of your stay, gesture that is appreciated since the airport is not very close to the city. Robert, Rian and the rest of the team go out of their way to make your once in a lifetime trip the best and safest it can be. From pre-departure advice and support, to being dropped off at the airport at the end, the service was outstanding, friendly and knowledgeable. We had a Nissan NP300 with two roof top tents, new off road tyres, tyre monitors, GPS, WiFi, satellite phone, fridge and everything else you could need for our adventure which saw me and my daughter driving 4500km around Namibia and Botswana over 4 weeks. The camping equipment was in good, new condition and the bed linen was clean. The car was explained to us well so we had no problems with the handling. I would recommend sleeping there for one night. Rooms are also offered there (Castel View Suites). This way you can start your holiday relaxed. There is also a supermarket nearby. Besonders möchten wir uns bei Simon bedanken, der uns die 4x4 Pick-up Einweisung gab und die Transfers vom Flughafen zur Autovermietung und Unterkunft professionell und unkompliziert durchführte. Alicia und Robert haben uns persönlich vor Ort empfangen und uns hervorragend in die Sehenswürdigkeiten und wichtigen Aspekte eingewiesen. Während unserer umfangreichen Namibia Rundreise mit vielen Kilometern liess uns der gut vorbereitete Pick-up nie im Stich. Zudem wurden uns eine beinahe neue Bereifung zur verfügung gestellt, was äusserst wichtig ist für diesen vielseitigen Boden. Das zeigt, dass man hier eine zuverlässige Leistung erhält, für die man sehr fair bezahlt. Das Fahrzeug ist mit allen wichtigen und hilfreichen Equipment, sowie Pannenhilfematerial, Kochutensilien, Bettzeug und sogar Badetuch ausgestattet. Robert, il titolare, si è dimostrato una persona molto disponibile, 24 h su 24. Ci ha fornito un veicolo praticamente nuovo, molto comodo, dotato di tutti i confort: asciugamani, piatti, bicchieri, flute, compressore, vanga, graticola, fili per il bucato, detersivo, spugna, strofinaccio, posate, tavolo, sedie, fiammiferi, fornelletto con tre bombolette di gas, frigor, bollitore, tegami, insomma chi più ne ha ne metta! La tenda era di dimensioni perfette per dormire due persone, dotata di materassino alto circa 9 cm, cuscini, sacchi a pelo, trapunta leggera e pesante. Il tutto con odore e profumo di pulito. Cosa che ho apprezzato tantissimo! Mai avuto mal di schiena. Un ringraziamento ad Alicia che ci ha prontamente curato la parte amministrativa e si è dimostrata una ragazza professionale, affidabile e simpatica. È stato veramente un piacere averla conosciuta. Ed infine, ma non per ultimo, un grande abbraccio a Simon che, con pazienza e serenità ci ha minuziosamente spiegato il funzionamento della jeep e di tutti gli accessori. Weeks leading to our visit, Christina was very helpful until the end of our trip. Riaan, Robert and Ons were really really helpful in helping us get acquainted with the 4x4 bakkie. The bakkie was a pleasure to drive on gravel and tar road, had all you need for camping. They provide everything you could possibly need and more. While we were on our travels, they checked in with us to make sure that we were okay and that we had no issues. The team is super professional, Robert goes the extra mile to ensure all arrangements were in place ahead of our arrival in Windhoek. Rian picked us up without any hassle and had some great advice this being our first Namibia trip. I will most definitely reach out to them in the future and discuss the planned route especially if you decide to set off on day one. I did not anticipate the earlier sunset in the winter and we could quickly formed a plan to ensure we arrive in time. Rian left us a care package which among other things included braai spice and coffee. This came in super handy on the first two days until we could restock! The wifi and live tyre pressure monitors were thrown in free of charge which made our trip as novices feel safer as well as allow us to make arrangements on the way. All the equipment was new or in excellent condition. I was very impressed with the Nissan, its power, comfort and fuel consumption was on point! We never felt like we needed anything, these guys know what they are doing and have thought of it all. Fill up the onboard fridge running both AC/DC and you are off to enjoy the beauty of Africa. You made what I had thought for many years to be inaccessible very easy and it resulted in a game changing holiday experience. Para nuestro primer viaje por Namibia y Botsuana decidimos alquilar un 4x4 de la marca Nissan NP300 con equipo de camping completo (tienda de campaña, utensilios de cocina, mesa, sillas, nevera, prismáticos, etc). El coche estaba en perfecto estado, muy fiable y equipado con muy buenos neumáticos. El primer día tuvimos un percance y pinchamos pero al tener el material necesario pudimos arreglarlo sin ningún problema. En cuanto al trato con los trabajadores de la empresa, ha sido espectualar; Robert nos explico todo lo que debíamos saber con exactitud e intentaba que nos quedase todo claro haciendo explicaciones en castellano. Además, a la hora de hacer el pago como en España nos daba error pudimos hacer todo el pago allí mismo el día de la recogida del vehículo. Por otra parte, en la mitad de nuestro recorrido tuvimos un percance (se nos rompió la dirección del coche), nada mas comunicarlo nos dio una solución y al día siguiente estabamos en un tayer arreglándolo sin afectar a nuestro itinerario. Por último, el trayecto del aeropuerto a la ciudad esta cubierto, es decir, te llevan el primer día y el último de tu estancia, gesto que se agradece ya que el aeropuerto no esta muy cerca de la ciudad. Stefania T23 May 2024Fantastic rental car We rented a Toyota Hilux 4x4 equipped for camping for 13 days and 4500 km, the car was perfect, never had a problem and super equipped for camping life, it even had a set of light bulbs 💡 which were charged with a small panel solar and the Wi-Fi inside the car was helpful in making the trip possible. Robert and Christina followed up with me via email for the quote and responded with infinite patience to my numerous questions, another positive side is that they only ask you for a 20% deposit, you pay the rest upon arrival, they also provide you with a round trip to the airport which is 30 km from the capital, and as soon as I arrive they change the SIM on your phone to a prepaid one. in short, a great service for travelers provided by this young company. My family was recently in Namibia to check off another adventure off the bucket list and in our search for a reliable car rental, GoRent Namibia didn’t disappoint! The colleagues from Go Rent managed to bring the jeep directly to our hotel, gave us a professional introduction into the safety features. needless to say that the jeep was in a perfect technical condition. I mean to travel Namibia is not like travelling in Europe! I personally lavoed the tyre pressure control device - this is a really useful gimmick. I saw on the road others with destroyed tyres, who mentioned the pressure loss to late! The tent was in good condition, everything clean and fresh. Le véhicule qui nous a été donné était en bon état et a parfaitement fonctionné pendant toute la durée du séjour (>3 semaines). Aucun pneu crevé durant le séjour, mais cela arrive fréquemment donc nous avions pris une assurance complémentaire. La tente était OK, facile à ouvrir et pas trop compliquée à refermer le matin. The service was top-notch, from communication to helping us arrange transportation to the hotel and the airport the next day. Robert (the owner) and his team went above and beyond, even allowing us to use an internet router on our last night in Windhoek (after we returned the car),so we could connect to the internet (Airalo e-SIM cards don't work in Namibia, be careful). You will get two SIM cards with the car. One with 25 Gb internet + another one for the calls. The car was nearly new. Toyota Hilux 4x4 with automatic gear box was very comfortable. Car is fully equipped. We didn’t even use half of the equipment on board. You will find everything you need. Hint: No need to take a sleeping bag. The tent on the top has duvets and pillows. As well as clean towels. I can fully recommend this Car rental company. We had a great 10-days trip. We got a super clean, well maintained and rather new car, with tires in perfect conditions (not a single issue during our trip). With the car came a rooftop tent, not brand new, but in good conditions, perfectly clean and fitted clean bedsheets. As we were afraid of being cold they even gave us additional sleeping bags (that we didn’t need in the end). The car comes fully equipped with everything needed for a Namibian camping holiday. Camping table, chairs, cutlery, all sorts of pots and pans and most importantly everything for a great barbecue. Thanks to the good state of the car we didn’t have any issues during our trip. Nevertheless we knew that we could always reach out to Robert and the Go Rent Team for assistance which was great for peace of mind travelling in a new country. Once you have set it up once or twice you can set it up in no time. Most important to us was the state of the car and the tyres. We drove around for 3 weeks without any problems. Robert gave us good advice on the road condition alerts. The road between Noordoever and Aus showed on google maps as closed due floodings 10 days earlier. He said roads get usally fixed fast and there is usually a way around it. He was right. Most other roads were in great conditions. The wifi box in the car is a convenient extra. We rented four vehicles in total, two of them for a full four weeks. Robert professionally explained everything we needed to know about using the vehicles safely, and his recommendations for places to visit, restaurants and even campsites were absolutely spot on – 10/10! Throughout our entire trip, communication was excellent. Whenever we needed advice or had any questions or doubts, we could contact them regardless of the day or time and always received help. We would also like to thank Simon for his friendliness, kindness and support – it was a pleasure dealing with him. The vehicles were relatively new Toyota Hilux 4x4s, model years 2024/2025, with around 70,000–80,000 km on the clock. They were extremely well prepared for the trip, with excellent tyres and two spare wheels. Despite driving through some challenging terrain, we never had to use either of them! The camping equipment was more than comprehensive. Each vehicle came with four large storage boxes containing practically everything you might need, so there is really no need to bring much camping equipment of your own. The rooftop tents were equipped with duvets, pillows and blankets. We brought our own sleeping bags simply because we prefer using them, as well as our Jetboil for quickly boiling water – pretty much everything else you need is already provided. We even received a portable power station, which turned out to be extremely useful at campsites without electricity – and yes, there are quite a few of those! To sum up: an excellent rental company, fantastic communication by email before our trip, all our arrangements and requests were handled exactly as agreed – including permission to take the vehicles into Botswana – and, most importantly, great, modern and very well-prepared 4x4s. We can’t say enough about the owners and people who are GoRent. They were incredibly accommodating, responsive and helped us navigate some problematic situations on our trip. Before heading out, they spent time with us to review our self-drive plan through Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe, making valuable suggestions and stayed in touch via WhatsApp. Whatever we needed, they were there. The vehicle we originally rented was a Nissan but when we picked it up it turned out to be a Toyota Hilux which was a plus. The vehicle was almost new and in great condition. It performed beautifully and was extremely capable. This is the vehicle you want for Africa as the roads are often difficult to navigate once not on the main roads. The sand is deep and the roads narrow. The vehicle handled it effortlessly. The only comments for improvement we have is the gear and kitchen and how they are set up for travel was less than ideal and made food storage and prep highly unorganized. There should be additional bins providing valuable space for groceries and dry items. We were also provided with a gas stove that was powered by butane cannisters that were nearly impossible to find outside of Windhoek (every outlet sold regular propane gas bottles). The cannisters lasted a very short period of time. Thankfully we brought our own WindBurner system and found camping gas in the City before leaving and relied on the braai facilities at campsites. The refrigerator was not reliable and stopped working a few times. We managed to fix it each time, but it was extremely frustrating. We discussed these openly with the owners who were aware of some of these issues and are proactively working on better solutions. We are confident they will remedy these shortcomings as they are personally invested in the company and are an amazing group of people. We highly recommend them. For the family of GoRent, and a special thanks to Robert and Christina, if you are ever in Canada, we’d love to see you and thank you for all your help and support on our trip. For our first trip through Namibia and Botswana we decided to rent a 4x4 Nissan NP300 brand with full camping equipment (tent, kitchen utensils, table, chairs, refrigerator, binoculars, etc.). The car was in perfect condition, very reliable and equipped with very good tyres. The first day we had a mishap and we punctured but having the necessary material we were able to fix it without any problems. As for dealing with the company’s workers, it has been spectacular; Robert explained everything we should know exactly and tried to make everything clear by explaining in Spanish. In addition, when making the payment as in Spain we were mistaken we were able to make all the payment right there on the day of the pickup of the vehicle. On the other hand, in the middle of our tour we had a mishap (we broke the direction of the car), just communicating it gave us a solution and the next day we were in a workshop fixing it without affecting our itinerary. Finally, the journey from the airport to the city is covered, that is, they take you the first day and the last of your stay, gesture that is appreciated since the airport is not very close to the city. Ci ha fornito un veicolo praticamente nuovo, molto comodo, dotato di tutti i confort: asciugamani, piatti, bicchieri, flute, compressore, vanga, graticola, fili per il bucato, detersivo, spugna, strofinaccio, posate, tavolo, sedie, fiammiferi, fornelletto con tre bombolette di gas, frigor, bollitore, tegami, insomma chi più ne ha ne metta! La tenda era di dimensioni perfette per dormire due persone, dotata di materassino alto circa 9 cm, cuscini, sacchi a pelo, trapunta leggera e pesante. Il tutto con odore e profumo di pulito. Cosa che ho apprezzato tantissimo! Mai avuto mal di schiena. Un ringraziamento ad Alicia che ci ha prontamente curato la parte amministrativa e si è dimostrata una ragazza professionale, affidabile e simpatica. È stato veramente un piacere averla conosciuta. El coche estaba en perfecto estado, muy fiable y equipado con muy buenos neumáticos. El primer día tuvimos un percance y pinchamos pero al tener el material necesario pudimos arreglarlo sin ningún problema. En cuanto al trato con los trabajadores de la empresa, ha sido espectualar; Robert nos explico todo lo que debíamos saber con exactitud e intentaba que nos quedase todo claro haciendo explicaciones en castellano. Además, a la hora de hacer el pago como en España nos daba error pudimos hacer todo el pago allí mismo el día de la recogida del vehículo. Por otra parte, en la mitad de nuestro recorrido tuvimos un percance (se nos rompió la dirección del coche), nada mas comunicarlo nos dio una solución y al día siguiente estabamos en un tayer arreglándolo sin afectar a nuestro itinerario. Por último, el trayecto del aeropuerto a la ciudad esta cubierto, es decir, te llevan el primer día y el último de tu estancia, gesto que se agradece ya que el aeropuerto no esta muy cerca de la ciudad. Robert and Christina followed up with me via email for the quote and responded with infinite patience to my numerous questions, another positive side is that they only ask you for a 20% deposit, you pay the rest upon arrival, they also provide you with a round trip to the airport which is 30 km from the capital, and as soon as I arrive they change the SIM on your phone to a prepaid one. in short, a great service for travelers provided by this young company. The colleagues from Go Rent managed to bring the jeep directly to our hotel, gave us a professional introduction into the safety features. needless to say that the jeep was in a perfect technical condition. I mean to travel Namibia is not like travelling in Europe! I personally lavoed the tyre pressure control device - this is a really useful gimmick.
