Maria12 December 2023Wir haben für 30 Tage ein Auto mit Dachzelt bei Go Rent Namibia gemietet und hatten eine super Zeit. Go Rent Namibia ist ein noch junges Unternehmen die jedoch wirken als ob sie schon lange Erfahrung haben. Die Campingausrüstung war gut ausgestattet. Das Dachzelt ist von guter Qualität und hat auch manche Stürme und Regenschauer überstanden. Das Auto war gut gewartet, wir hatten die ganze Zeit keine Probleme. Es ist ein Reifendrucksensor installiert der im Auto den aktuellen Reifendruck angibt. Da GoRent Geld für gute Reifen investiert hatten wir die ganze Zeit über keinen Platten. Bei Abholung wurde uns ganz genau alles erklärt und es wurde sich viel Zeit für uns genommen. Auch bei Fragen während der Reise haben wir immer schnell eine Antwort bekommen. Wir würden bei einer erneuten Reise auf jeden Fall wieder bei GoRent buchen und können es nur wärmstens empfehlen. Vielen Dank für diese wunderbare Zeit!Posted on Google

We feel so lucky to have chosen to go with this company. Robert was so helpful at every step in the process and was totally invested in the success of our adventure. Our truck was in fantastic shape and had everything we needed. Robert and his assistant Simone gave us a very thorough walk through of the camper truck and made sure we felt confident about the gear and our trip. While there are many companies in Namibia offering similar services, we were thrilled with our choice and intend to use Go Rent Namibia 4x4 again and again. Shawn Law15 June 2026I had an excellent experience renting a 4x4 from this company for my 12-day self-drive trip around Namibia. One thing that impressed me right from the start was that they managed to secure a Toyota Hilux 4x4 for us even though we booked only about a month before our trip. Given how popular 4x4 rentals can be in Namibia, especially during peak travel periods, we were very grateful for their help. What really stood out was the level of service. They arranged private transfers from the airport to our accommodation in Windhoek on the first night, from the accommodation to the rental office the next morning, and even from the rental office back to the airport at the end of the trip—all at no additional charge. Having the same driver (shoutout to Simon!) for the transfers made everything seamless and stress-free. During vehicle collection, the team went through the checklist thoroughly and took the time to explain everything in detail, which gave us a lot of confidence before starting the journey as it's our first time driving a 4x4. Another thoughtful touch was that they provided advice on recommended routes and roads to avoid based on current conditions. This local knowledge was extremely helpful and is something we have not experienced with most car rental companies. The vehicle was very well prepared. The tyre pressures were already properly set, and throughout our 12-day journey across Namibia, we had a completely smooth experience without any tyre issues, punctures, or needing to make any adjustments. I also appreciated that there was no requirement to wash the vehicle before returning it. After driving through Namibia's gravel roads and desert landscapes, being able to return the car as-is made the end of the trip much more convenient. Overall, the service was professional, friendly, and genuinely customer-focused. The team went above and beyond to make our Namibia self-drive adventure easy and enjoyable. Lea Benjamin22 April 2025This review is long overdue. We can’t say enough about the owners and people who are GoRent. They were incredibly accommodating, responsive and helped us navigate some problematic situations on our trip. Before heading out, they spent time with us to review our self-drive plan through Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe, making valuable suggestions and stayed in touch via WhatsApp. Whatever we needed, they were there. The vehicle we originally rented was a Nissan but when we picked it up it turned out to be a Toyota Hilux which was a plus. The vehicle was almost new and in great condition. It performed beautifully and was extremely capable. This is the vehicle you want for Africa as the roads are often difficult to navigate once not on the main roads. The sand is deep and the roads narrow. The vehicle handled it effortlessly. The only comments for improvement we have is the gear and kitchen and how they are set up for travel was less than ideal and made food storage and prep highly unorganized. There should be additional bins providing valuable space for groceries and dry items. We were also provided with a gas stove that was powered by butane cannisters that were nearly impossible to find outside of Windhoek (every outlet sold regular propane gas bottles). The cannisters lasted a very short period of time. Thankfully we brought our own WindBurner system and found camping gas in the City before leaving and relied on the braai facilities at campsites. The refrigerator was not reliable and stopped working a few times. We managed to fix it each time, but it was extremely frustrating. We discussed these openly with the owners who were aware of some of these issues and are proactively working on better solutions. We are confident they will remedy these shortcomings as they are personally invested in the company and are an amazing group of people. We highly recommend them. For the family of GoRent, and a special thanks to Robert and Christina, if you are ever in Canada, we’d love to see you and thank you for all your help and support on our trip. Mario31 August 2023They are the best!! We recommend it 100%. We travel a lot and have rented a car in various places, but we have never experienced such great service as we received here. The owner is very nice, he explained everything in detail, how to drive safely, how to repair a wheel in case of problems, what the car is equipped with (and it was equipped with everything we needed and even more). We were given an extra sleeping bag and a blanket in case it was cold at night and beers for the first night at the campsite ;)! We had a very nice chat and coffee with the owner and the driver who took us to the airport when we returned the car. If we ever come back to Namibia we will definitely rent a car here again! Simon Turcotte15 April 2025I absolutely loved my rental experience with Go Rent 4x4. It started with the complementary airport pickup. I was picked up by Simon with my rental vehicle. On the drive to the rental shop he started giving me tips on driving in Namibia and advice on the vehicle. Once at the shop I was greeted by the owner Robert. After finishing the paperwork quickly they took me through the equipment provided with the vehicle, how to use it and sent me some videos in case I needed to refer back to them during the trip. Robert asked me for my itinerary and gave me some advice. Thankfully he checked, as the itinerary on my last day was a bit long and I could have missed my flight so I ended up changing my itinerary based on his advice. They gave me their WhatsApp in case I needed help during the trip. The first night we stayed at the Urban Camp nearby as I wanted to test the equipement before leaving town. Everything worked perfectly on the first night and during the whole trip. Not only very friendly but also super helpful and responsive throughout our entire five weeks adventure. Being this the first time we were going to be driving in Africa, across Namibia and Botswana with our two kids, having a reliable vehicle was our top priority. GoRent really provided a stress free experience. They were there for us 24x7 to make sure our journey was safe and pleasant. They also gave us all the tools and equipment necessary to prepare our meals and sleep comfortably. Having a nice size fridge with a freezer was also nice to store food but also enjoy a cold drink while on the road and at the end of the day. They gave us a lot of good tips and even brought us to a nice super market to load up on food after we got the car. Simon, one of the drivers, also gave us a lot of info already during our ride from the airport to our accommodations when we arrived. He also picked us up and brought us back to the airport the next day because our bags arrived one day later in Windhoek due to a delay in Johannesburg. Cars were equipped and in perfect condition, and they added a refrigerator and binoculars, essential for traveling there. Robert picked us up at the airport and took us to the offices to deliver the car. He took all the time necessary to explain everything to us about the car and also helped us with the planning. per wassberg22 December 2024We rented 2 fully camping equiped Toyota Highlux for a bit over two weeks in Dec 2024. Everything we needed including wi-fi were in the cars and we also got very quick feedback and solution to replace a malfunctioned fridge on one of the cars. Overall the Toyotas were in a good shape and we could enjoy our trip around Namibia. The double tank we had on one of the cars was both useful and appreciated in the more remote areas. The ride from the hotel to the airport a couple of days after we delivered the cars back was a nice gestaure. 😁👍 Actually we had such a good time and good experiance with the rental company we decided we have to come back and do the Nam - Botswana - Nam loop, and yes we will use Go Rent Namibia 4x4 Rentals again. 😁Posted on Google

The team was very helpful in answering all my pre-booking questions. Booking went smoothly and then at check-in we had a great experience with Robert taking the time to help us finalise the trip planning and giving us some amazing tips. Alicia helped us finish off the contract and the payment and Simon was great in showing us how to use the car and camping gear. All the camping material was very high quality and easy to use. This team takes such care in all the small details and always available on WhatsApp throughout our trip for any questions or support. We covered 2500 km with the peace of mind of 2 spare tyres, dual batteries and luxuries such as a fridge/freezer. The cars are very capable off road and also comfortable for long hours behind the wheel with cruise control and Apple car play. The rooftop tents are a breeze to setup snd great to sleep in! He went above and beyond with staying in touch, providing recommendations and even sorting us a new battery charger upon our return for onwards travels! 10 star and can’t wait to use Go rent Namibia again in the future! Szczególnie chciałbym podziękować właścicielowi - Robertowi, który w profesjonalny sposób zaopiekował się całą naszą grupą (wypożyczaliśmy 4 samochody, w tym 2 na 4 tygodnie), omówił wszystkie sprawy związane z bezpiecznym użytkowaniem aut, a jego sugestie dotyczące miejsc wartych odwiedzenia, restauracji, a nawet campów - w 10. Kontakt podczas całej wyprawy, niezależnie od dnia / godziny, gdy tylko coś potrzebowaliśmy lub mieliśmy wątpliwości. Super kontakt, uprzejmość, życzliwość i pomoc także uzyskaliśmy ze strony Simona, dziękujemy. Samochody to nowe Toyoty Hilux, rocznik 2024/2025, z przebiegiem około 70-80000 km. Świetne przygotowane, opony super, koła zapasowe 2, nie przydały się mimo jazdy w trudnym terenie. Wyposażenie campingowe, aż nadto, 4 wielkie skrzynie, więc właściwie noc nie trzeba brać ze sobą. W namiotach kołdry, poduszki, koce... My mieliśmy własne śpiwory, bo lubimy, jetboila, żeby szybko gotować wodę - resztę znajdziecie w wyposażeniu. Nawet power station dostaliśmy! I przydała się na tych campach, na których nie było prądu, a są takie! Podsumowując, świetna wypożyczalnia, doskonały kontakt mailowy przed wyjazdem (wszystkie ustalenia zaakceptowane - np. wjazd do Botswany), świetne nowe auta.Posted on Google

62luca8 September 2023Great Rental Car Company I absolutely recommend Go Rent Namibia 4x4 to anyone wanting to rent a vehicle to get around Namibia. From the beginning they proved to be a serious company, with timely and precise email communications from Christina. Then Ryan picked us up from the airport advising and waiting for us while we changed money and bought some local sim cards. The next morning Robert and Ryan delivered us a practically brand new Toyota Hilux double cab with automatic transmission, super clean and fully equipped, with two spare wheels, GPS and on-board wifi. Very kind and friendly, they explained many things to us about the vehicle, the roads, driving habits and much more. The first three days of our trip in the south of the country proved to be very unfortunate from a tire point of view as we had flats three times, and one of these punctures even required a tire change. We had chosen a rental that guaranteed us against any type of damage, theft, glass, tyres. Robert was very correct, immediately reimbursing us how much we had to spend for the replacement. With Go Rent Namibia 4x4 the exchanges of Whattsap messages have always been instantaneous and very friendly. They are always available and occasionally they send you a message asking how your trip is going and if you need anything. I can say that in over thirty years of traveling around the world renting cars and jeeps, Go Rent Namibia 4x4 has proven to be a supplier of clearly superior quality both in terms of the professionalism of the staff and the quality of the vehicle. The car was in impeccable condition and a beast on the gravel roads of Namibia. The tires were in great condition and we did not face any issues with tire punctures, which is quite common. The car is well stocked with everything you will need on your road trip. The tents are quite spacious and comfortable and spacious for 2 persons. The team was very responsive to all our queries even during our trip and were always ready to guide us. A tip for first timers is to familiarise yourself with the car and various camping equipment prior to the start of your road trip (watching videos/tutorials), so that you spend minimal time in figuring out such things on the way. robert21 February 2026Just perfect - overdelivered on my expectations Perfect! I rented an almost new Hilux with rooftop for a roundtrip through Namibia. Car was equipped with really everything, staff was extremely friendly and helpful with everything. After the first day there where some unclear issues with the car and they send a new car instantly to meet me on road and exchange it - just to be sure and i would not have to worry. Everything was perfectly organized from the start. We were picked up from the airport and taken to the office where we received a very warm welcome. The car was brand new, and after detailed instructions and explanations we were off. Two weeks without a hitch and we were completely happy with a great car. Robert was available at all times and was willing to drive across the country to help personally in an emergency. We were impressed by the combination of professionalism in a friendly atmosphere with a great team. Victor Cavalié5 March 2026Très bonne agence de location. Vous êtes récupérés à l’aéroport puis la voiture vous est remise dans le centre de Windhoek. La voiture était comme neuve aucun problème pendant 15 jours malgré des trajets périlleux (sable, cailloux, flaques). Les explications pour la prise en main de la voiture était très claires. The 4x4 fully lived up to our expectations and allowed us to drive more than 5,000 km across Namibia and Botswana without any issues. We only had a small problem with the fridge, but it was resolved very quickly thanks to David, a friend of them living near Rundu, where we also spent one night. Das Dachzelt ist von guter Qualität und hat auch manche Stürme und Regenschauer überstanden. Das Auto war gut gewartet, wir hatten die ganze Zeit keine Probleme. Es ist ein Reifendrucksensor installiert der im Auto den aktuellen Reifendruck angibt. Da GoRent Geld für gute Reifen investiert hatten wir die ganze Zeit über keinen Platten. Bei Abholung wurde uns ganz genau alles erklärt und es wurde sich viel Zeit für uns genommen. Auch bei Fragen während der Reise haben wir immer schnell eine Antwort bekommen. One thing that impressed me right from the start was that they managed to secure a Toyota Hilux 4x4 for us even though we booked only about a month before our trip. Given how popular 4x4 rentals can be in Namibia, especially during peak travel periods, we were very grateful for their help. What really stood out was the level of service. They arranged private transfers from the airport to our accommodation in Windhoek on the first night, from the accommodation to the rental office the next morning, and even from the rental office back to the airport at the end of the trip—all at no additional charge. Having the same driver (shoutout to Simon!) for the transfers made everything seamless and stress-free. During vehicle collection, the team went through the checklist thoroughly and took the time to explain everything in detail, which gave us a lot of confidence before starting the journey as it's our first time driving a 4x4. Another thoughtful touch was that they provided advice on recommended routes and roads to avoid based on current conditions. This local knowledge was extremely helpful and is something we have not experienced with most car rental companies. The vehicle was very well prepared. The tyre pressures were already properly set, and throughout our 12-day journey across Namibia, we had a completely smooth experience without any tyre issues, punctures, or needing to make any adjustments. I also appreciated that there was no requirement to wash the vehicle before returning it. After driving through Namibia's gravel roads and desert landscapes, being able to return the car as-is made the end of the trip much more convenient. We can’t say enough about the owners and people who are GoRent. They were incredibly accommodating, responsive and helped us navigate some problematic situations on our trip. Before heading out, they spent time with us to review our self-drive plan through Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe, making valuable suggestions and stayed in touch via WhatsApp. Whatever we needed, they were there. The vehicle we originally rented was a Nissan but when we picked it up it turned out to be a Toyota Hilux which was a plus. The vehicle was almost new and in great condition. It performed beautifully and was extremely capable. This is the vehicle you want for Africa as the roads are often difficult to navigate once not on the main roads. The sand is deep and the roads narrow. The vehicle handled it effortlessly. The only comments for improvement we have is the gear and kitchen and how they are set up for travel was less than ideal and made food storage and prep highly unorganized. There should be additional bins providing valuable space for groceries and dry items. We were also provided with a gas stove that was powered by butane cannisters that were nearly impossible to find outside of Windhoek (every outlet sold regular propane gas bottles). The cannisters lasted a very short period of time. Thankfully we brought our own WindBurner system and found camping gas in the City before leaving and relied on the braai facilities at campsites. The refrigerator was not reliable and stopped working a few times. We managed to fix it each time, but it was extremely frustrating. We discussed these openly with the owners who were aware of some of these issues and are proactively working on better solutions. We are confident they will remedy these shortcomings as they are personally invested in the company and are an amazing group of people. We highly recommend them. For the family of GoRent, and a special thanks to Robert and Christina, if you are ever in Canada, we’d love to see you and thank you for all your help and support on our trip. We have some great suggestions, and secret stops to share with you if you visit in our country. The owner is very nice, he explained everything in detail, how to drive safely, how to repair a wheel in case of problems, what the car is equipped with (and it was equipped with everything we needed and even more). We were given an extra sleeping bag and a blanket in case it was cold at night and beers for the first night at the campsite ;)! On the drive to the rental shop he started giving me tips on driving in Namibia and advice on the vehicle. Once at the shop I was greeted by the owner Robert. After finishing the paperwork quickly they took me through the equipment provided with the vehicle, how to use it and sent me some videos in case I needed to refer back to them during the trip. Robert asked me for my itinerary and gave me some advice. Thankfully he checked, as the itinerary on my last day was a bit long and I could have missed my flight so I ended up changing my itinerary based on his advice. They gave me their WhatsApp in case I needed help during the trip. The first night we stayed at the Urban Camp nearby as I wanted to test the equipement before leaving town. Everything worked perfectly on the first night and during the whole trip. Everything we needed including wi-fi were in the cars and we also got very quick feedback and solution to replace a malfunctioned fridge on one of the cars. Overall the Toyotas were in a good shape and we could enjoy our trip around Namibia. The double tank we had on one of the cars was both useful and appreciated in the more remote areas. Kontakt podczas całej wyprawy, niezależnie od dnia / godziny, gdy tylko coś potrzebowaliśmy lub mieliśmy wątpliwości. Super kontakt, uprzejmość, życzliwość i pomoc także uzyskaliśmy ze strony Simona, dziękujemy. Samochody to nowe Toyoty Hilux, rocznik 2024/2025, z przebiegiem około 70-80000 km. Świetne przygotowane, opony super, koła zapasowe 2, nie przydały się mimo jazdy w trudnym terenie. Wyposażenie campingowe, aż nadto, 4 wielkie skrzynie, więc właściwie noc nie trzeba brać ze sobą. W namiotach kołdry, poduszki, koce... My mieliśmy własne śpiwory, bo lubimy, jetboila, żeby szybko gotować wodę - resztę znajdziecie w wyposażeniu. Nawet power station dostaliśmy! I przydała się na tych campach, na których nie było prądu, a są takie! The airport transfer was smooth, and the car we received was not only in excellent technical condition but also very comfortable and superbly equipped for camping. Mr. Robert was great at explaining everything about the vehicle. We also liked that we could easily reach the company if we had any questions during our trip. From the beginning they proved to be a serious company, with timely and precise email communications from Christina. Then Ryan picked us up from the airport advising and waiting for us while we changed money and bought some local sim cards. The next morning Robert and Ryan delivered us a practically brand new Toyota Hilux double cab with automatic transmission, super clean and fully equipped, with two spare wheels, GPS and on-board wifi. Very kind and friendly, they explained many things to us about the vehicle, the roads, driving habits and much more. The first three days of our trip in the south of the country proved to be very unfortunate from a tire point of view as we had flats three times, and one of these punctures even required a tire change. We had chosen a rental that guaranteed us against any type of damage, theft, glass, tyres. Robert was very correct, immediately reimbursing us how much we had to spend for the replacement. With Go Rent Namibia 4x4 the exchanges of Whattsap messages have always been instantaneous and very friendly. They are always available and occasionally they send you a message asking how your trip is going and if you need anything. I can say that in over thirty years of traveling around the world renting cars and jeeps, Go Rent Namibia 4x4 has proven to be a supplier of clearly superior quality both in terms of the professionalism of the staff and the quality of the vehicle. The car was in impeccable condition and a beast on the gravel roads of Namibia. The tires were in great condition and we did not face any issues with tire punctures, which is quite common. The car is well stocked with everything you will need on your road trip. The tents are quite spacious and comfortable and spacious for 2 persons. The team was very responsive to all our queries even during our trip and were always ready to guide us. A tip for first timers is to familiarise yourself with the car and various camping equipment prior to the start of your road trip (watching videos/tutorials), so that you spend minimal time in figuring out such things on the way. I rented an almost new Hilux with rooftop for a roundtrip through Namibia. Car was equipped with really everything, staff was extremely friendly and helpful with everything. After the first day there where some unclear issues with the car and they send a new car instantly to meet me on road and exchange it - just to be sure and i would not have to worry. The car was brand new, and after detailed instructions and explanations we were off. Two weeks without a hitch and we were completely happy with a great car. Robert was available at all times and was willing to drive across the country to help personally in an emergency. La voiture était comme neuve aucun problème pendant 15 jours malgré des trajets périlleux (sable, cailloux, flaques). Les explications pour la prise en main de la voiture était très claires. Tout l’équipement camping y compris les tentes est super. Les tentes sont confortables et faciles à déplier/replier après une journée de prise en main. Mention spéciale à Simon qui nous a accompagné à l’aller et au retour de l’aéroport et expliqué le fonctionnement de la voiture. The online booking process was easy, and the contract was clear and straightforward. The 4x4 fully lived up to our expectations and allowed us to drive more than 5,000 km across Namibia and Botswana without any issues. We only had a small problem with the fridge, but it was resolved very quickly thanks to David, a friend of them living near Rundu, where we also spent one night.
