Great experience ! I had a great experience with Go Rent Namibia ! I rented a car for 3 weeks and was really satisfied with it. They provide all the tools and accessories necessary for camping and they stay in touch with you to provide assistance for anything during your travel time. I was kindly welcomed in their office and well briefed before my departure. Everyone was very kind ! The roof tent is also very comfortable and quite easy to set up. Cars were equipped and in perfect condition, and they added a refrigerator and binoculars, essential for traveling there. Robert picked us up at the airport and took us to the offices to deliver the car. He took all the time necessary to explain everything to us about the car and also helped us with the planning. Avto je bil super in oprema za kampiranje, ki jo dobiš z avtom, ima res vse: vse kar rabiš za spanje ( rjuhe, kovtri, povštri, dodatna deka), krožnike, skodelice, pribor, posode, kuhalnik, oprema za žar, hladilnik, miza, stoli, daljnogled, multitool…eno sim kartico z namibijsko številko in enoto za wifi za v avto. Začetek je bil sicer malo neprijeten, kajti dogovorjeni smo bili za prevzem na letališču, a ko smo prispeli, prevoza ni bilo. A od tam naprej je bilo vse super. Zato sem tudi prepričana, da je bil začetek zgolj slučaj, ki se drugače ne pripeti. Prevzeli so nas v prenočišču in kasneje odpeljali tudi do letališča. Ob prevzemu smo šli skupaj čez naš potovalni plan in tudi ko smo imeli vmes težave z vžigom, smo imeli super komunikacijo in vse smo skupaj rešili. Zelo prijazni ljudje, fajn avto. No nos faltaba de nada y todo en muy buenas condiciones. El coche y las tiendas muy cómodas. Además éramos 5 personas y nos pusieron una tienda de camping extra para mayor comodidad. Robert ha estado atento en todo momento por si necesitábamos algo , nos mandaba vídeos explicativos con el uso de todo y también nos dieron una explicación en persona. Thiebald Wouda8 December 2025We had a fantastic experience renting a car from this company. They have so many excellent reviews and rightfully so, we cannot recommend this company enough when you want to go for a self drive in Namibia. What is included in their service is an airport transfer as well for when you arrive in Namibia and when you leave to go back home again. When picking up the car they advice you on the best route to take to see as much as you can of Namibia, and also explain all the do's and dont's. During your drive you also are equipped with a WiFi device in the car such that you can always contact them if you need their help. They are super responsive, for example when we had a question about our stove and when we wanted to cross the border to enter Zimbabwe as we impulsively decided we wanted to go to the Victoria falls. In both cases they literally helped us within a minute or so. What is also very telling about a company, especially a car rental company, is how they act and respond when you have an incident with the car. Due to the roads in Botswana and the rain season, when navigating a deep trench we unfortunately hit a small tree which damaged our bumper. Again they made sure that we weren't stressed about it and we ended up not having to pay for any of the damages. For those renting a car in Namibia, always make sure to then file a police report even if its a one-sided incident with little damage as insurance companies always need this information. This is definitely different to how insurance companies work in the Netherlands for example where you wouldn't go to the police for such an incident. Luckily they let us of the hook which again underlines their level of service. The car itself was perfect for the terrain in Namibia. We went there during the rain season and although we were lucky with the weather it definitely helps on some of the muddy roads to have the 4x4. If you're looking for a solid car for a competitive price and excellent service then this is definitely the right organisation to rent from!Posted on TripadvisorJanire D22 September 2024Exceptional 24 days driving through Namibia and Botswana. For our first trip through Namibia and Botswana we decided to rent a 4x4 Nissan NP300 brand with full camping equipment (tent, kitchen utensils, table, chairs, refrigerator, binoculars, etc.). The car was in perfect condition, very reliable and equipped with very good tyres. The first day we had a mishap and we punctured but having the necessary material we were able to fix it without any problems. As for dealing with the company’s workers, it has been spectacular; Robert explained everything we should know exactly and tried to make everything clear by explaining in Spanish. In addition, when making the payment as in Spain we were mistaken we were able to make all the payment right there on the day of the pickup of the vehicle. On the other hand, in the middle of our tour we had a mishap (we broke the direction of the car), just communicating it gave us a solution and the next day we were in a workshop fixing it without affecting our itinerary. Finally, the journey from the airport to the city is covered, that is, they take you the first day and the last of your stay, gesture that is appreciated since the airport is not very close to the city. During our journey on the rough roads of Etosha , a small stone hit the windshield, causing a small crack. Due to the heat and vibrations , the crack started to grow. Everyone we talked to at this company was highly professional and super friendly and kind. They were flexible and accommodating for everything we needed - we received all the information we could have needed, tips for sights, technical pointers and rides back and forth. I cannot think of anything they could have done better. We had a Toyota Hilux 2.4 4x4 automatic with camping gear for 11 days and everything ran perfectly. Many people say that they had flat tires or car trouble in Namibia due to the road conditions, but we had zero incidents in 11 days - the car was perfect: comfortable, equipped with more than we needed, in perfect condition. The car was brand new and highly equipped with the best tires, we even got sim cards from the team. dgoethel26 May 2025Great 4x4 rental in namibia Go Rent 4x4 was a superb choice for our 3 week truck rental in Namibia. We got a 4x4 Toyota hilux with pop up tent to explore the country. The truck was immaculately clean and well maintained with high quality gear. Both the road and camping gear was fully equipped beyond even what was noted on the website (full cooking and eating utensils, braii gear, propane stove and kettle, 2 extra tires, table and chairs, binoculars, air compressor, etc. Etc.). Their cars are also unbranded which makes them nicely conspicuous in a country full of giant 4x4 campers emblazoned with rental company logos. A nice subtle touch.For those unfamiliar with pop up tents, Simon will give you a tutorial upon arrival and you'll learn how quick and easy it is (5min up or down once you get some quick practice). Everyone is super friendly and the pickup and dropoff process is incredibly quick and easy. They even picked us up at the airport the night before our rental, took us to our hotel, and brought us to their shop the next morning (and drove us to the airport after dropping the truck back off).All the booking and planning was super easy and everyone is available anytime via WhatsApp. Robert, one of the owners, was extremely friendly and inviting. He answered all our questions and gave a rundown of the Namibian tourist sites. He can help you plan your trip if needed and is always available via WhatsApp if anything goes wrong. They also included a free wifi device and a Sim card to ease any potential emergency communication and to help for booking ahead. Robert also took our postcards to the post office, bought stamps, and mailed them for us when we got worn down by the endless lines at each post office we tried to go to. As noted, the pickup is extremely easy and Simon and company will give a thorough but succinct walk through of all equipment. No need to worry if you haven't been offroading or used a popup tent, they will explain it all. Honestly, 4x4 is overkill for 98% of the places you might realistically go in namibia, but the high clearance and high quality shocks and struts on their trucks really increase the comfort on all the washboard dirt roads. Overall Go Rent was a superb choice with amazing employees. They made the whole process easy, answered any questions, and did all the small things to maximize our trip. Would definitely recommend. Simon Turcotte15 April 2025I absolutely loved my rental experience with Go Rent 4x4. It started with the complementary airport pickup. I was picked up by Simon with my rental vehicle. On the drive to the rental shop he started giving me tips on driving in Namibia and advice on the vehicle. Once at the shop I was greeted by the owner Robert. After finishing the paperwork quickly they took me through the equipment provided with the vehicle, how to use it and sent me some videos in case I needed to refer back to them during the trip. Robert asked me for my itinerary and gave me some advice. Thankfully he checked, as the itinerary on my last day was a bit long and I could have missed my flight so I ended up changing my itinerary based on his advice. They gave me their WhatsApp in case I needed help during the trip. The first night we stayed at the Urban Camp nearby as I wanted to test the equipement before leaving town. Everything worked perfectly on the first night and during the whole trip. My daughter and I had a memorable experience in Namibia and that was thanks to Robert and his team who provided great service and a great vehicle. I highly recommend them!Posted on Google

She accommodated me as I was helping my family in New Zealand, hire Utes for their visit over here to see me beginning of November. Unfortunately we got devastating news that my mother had a sudden diagnosis of significant heart failure a week and a half before my family’s trip over here. I contacted Alicia immediately, not knowing how that would go with the cancellation and their refund policy. Go rentals refunded us our whole deposit without the cancellation fee on top. In tears actually about how helpful and assisting they were in such a devastating time for me and my family. Great country to visit and explore :) A superb Service from Robert and his rental company helped a lot to the experience. The vehicle, the camping gear to go around the country everything was perfect. We got all necessary gear in a great shape, for camping, cooking, washing, solar lights etc. We did not use our sleeping bags at all as everything for sleeping in the tents was provided as well. The airport transfer and collection/drop off was seamless. We were offered a welcome cold drinks and facing the heat coming from the cold EU it was a very pleasant gesture from Robert. The rental experience itself was great. The car was bulletproof, gear in order, car well equipped even for any potential emergency case like tyre puncture or similar. The car had bright new off road tires and we did not face any defect whatsoever. In car WiFi with 18GB data was a really nice service specially for the kids. I highly recommend. If you do not have a pair with you, ask for binoculars for game viewing it pays off (we had 3 and sometimes even this was not enough :) ). We also felt very safe going around having constant contact to Robert if needed. And he was occasionally even checking on us if everything is ok and if we need something. My girlfriend and I recently rented a 4x4 here for a week in Namibia, and we can say that, from start to finish, everything was exceptionally well-arranged. The journey began when Rian picked us up at the airport. Right from the get-go, we noticed they are focused on good customer service. They didn't just hand us the keys and send us on our way; they took the time to ensure we understood everything about the vehicle and explained every detail, even if it took a couple of times for us to grasp... As for the car itself, it was in very good condition and came fully equipped with everything we needed for our camping tour in Namibia. Not sure whether we were lucky but we didn't have any issues with the tires and overall we felt confident and well-prepared for the terrain. In summary, they exceeded our expectations, and I would enthusiastically give them a major 5-star review. Genuinely hope to return to Namibia soon and if we do a tour by car again, I will know where to rent :). Thank you Rian for making our Namibian adventure one for the books! (Another good customer service side story: when I arrived at the office to pick up the car, I realized that I forgot my contact lenses at home. Highly recommended! I give a 5 star rating because everything was really great. Rian and Robert are very professional and well organized. The car equipment was very good. The camping equipment was in good, new condition and the bed linen was clean. The car was explained to us well so we had no problems with the handling. I would recommend sleeping there for one night. Rooms are also offered there (Castle View Suites). This way you can start your holiday relaxed. There is also a supermarket nearby. The car was in impeccable condition and a beast on the gravel roads of Namibia. The tires were in great condition and we did not face any issues with tire punctures, which is quite common. The car is well stocked with everything you will need on your road trip. The tents are quite spacious and comfortable and spacious for 2 persons. The team was very responsive to all our queries even during our trip and were always ready to guide us. A tip for first timers is to familiarise yourself with the car and various camping equipment prior to the start of your road trip (watching videos/tutorials), so that you spend minimal time in figuring out such things on the way. Avto je bil super in oprema za kampiranje, ki jo dobiš z avtom, ima res vse: vse kar rabiš za spanje ( rjuhe, kovtri, povštri, dodatna deka), krožnike, skodelice, pribor, posode, kuhalnik, oprema za žar, hladilnik, miza, stoli, daljnogled, multitool…eno sim kartico z namibijsko številko in enoto za wifi za v avto. Začetek je bil sicer malo neprijeten, kajti dogovorjeni smo bili za prevzem na letališču, a ko smo prispeli, prevoza ni bilo. A od tam naprej je bilo vse super. Zato sem tudi prepričana, da je bil začetek zgolj slučaj, ki se drugače ne pripeti. Prevzeli so nas v prenočišču in kasneje odpeljali tudi do letališča. Ob prevzemu smo šli skupaj čez naš potovalni plan in tudi ko smo imeli vmes težave z vžigom, smo imeli super komunikacijo in vse smo skupaj rešili. Zelo prijazni ljudje, fajn avto. They have so many excellent reviews and rightfully so, we cannot recommend this company enough when you want to go for a self drive in Namibia. What is included in their service is an airport transfer as well for when you arrive in Namibia and when you leave to go back home again. When picking up the car they advice you on the best route to take to see as much as you can of Namibia, and also explain all the do's and dont's. During your drive you also are equipped with a WiFi device in the car such that you can always contact them if you need their help. They are super responsive, for example when we had a question about our stove and when we wanted to cross the border to enter Zimbabwe as we impulsively decided we wanted to go to the Victoria falls. In both cases they literally helped us within a minute or so. What is also very telling about a company, especially a car rental company, is how they act and respond when you have an incident with the car. Due to the roads in Botswana and the rain season, when navigating a deep trench we unfortunately hit a small tree which damaged our bumper. Again they made sure that we weren't stressed about it and we ended up not having to pay for any of the damages. For those renting a car in Namibia, always make sure to then file a police report even if its a one-sided incident with little damage as insurance companies always need this information. This is definitely different to how insurance companies work in the Netherlands for example where you wouldn't go to the police for such an incident. Luckily they let us of the hook which again underlines their level of service. The car itself was perfect for the terrain in Namibia. We went there during the rain season and although we were lucky with the weather it definitely helps on some of the muddy roads to have the 4x4. If you're looking for a solid car for a competitive price and excellent service then this is definitely the right organisation to rent from!Posted on TripadvisorJanire D22 September 2024Exceptional 24 days driving through Namibia and Botswana. For our first trip through Namibia and Botswana we decided to rent a 4x4 Nissan NP300 brand with full camping equipment (tent, kitchen utensils, table, chairs, refrigerator, binoculars, etc.). The car was in perfect condition, very reliable and equipped with very good tyres. The first day we had a mishap and we punctured but having the necessary material we were able to fix it without any problems. As for dealing with the company’s workers, it has been spectacular; Robert explained everything we should know exactly and tried to make everything clear by explaining in Spanish. In addition, when making the payment as in Spain we were mistaken we were able to make all the payment right there on the day of the pickup of the vehicle. On the other hand, in the middle of our tour we had a mishap (we broke the direction of the car), just communicating it gave us a solution and the next day we were in a workshop fixing it without affecting our itinerary. Finally, the journey from the airport to the city is covered, that is, they take you the first day and the last of your stay, gesture that is appreciated since the airport is not very close to the city. We got a 4x4 Toyota hilux with pop up tent to explore the country. The truck was immaculately clean and well maintained with high quality gear. Both the road and camping gear was fully equipped beyond even what was noted on the website (full cooking and eating utensils, braii gear, propane stove and kettle, 2 extra tires, table and chairs, binoculars, air compressor, etc. Etc.). Their cars are also unbranded which makes them nicely conspicuous in a country full of giant 4x4 campers emblazoned with rental company logos. A nice subtle touch.For those unfamiliar with pop up tents, Simon will give you a tutorial upon arrival and you'll learn how quick and easy it is (5min up or down once you get some quick practice). Everyone is super friendly and the pickup and dropoff process is incredibly quick and easy. They even picked us up at the airport the night before our rental, took us to our hotel, and brought us to their shop the next morning (and drove us to the airport after dropping the truck back off).All the booking and planning was super easy and everyone is available anytime via WhatsApp. Robert, one of the owners, was extremely friendly and inviting. He answered all our questions and gave a rundown of the Namibian tourist sites. He can help you plan your trip if needed and is always available via WhatsApp if anything goes wrong. They also included a free wifi device and a Sim card to ease any potential emergency communication and to help for booking ahead. Robert also took our postcards to the post office, bought stamps, and mailed them for us when we got worn down by the endless lines at each post office we tried to go to. As noted, the pickup is extremely easy and Simon and company will give a thorough but succinct walk through of all equipment. No need to worry if you haven't been offroading or used a popup tent, they will explain it all. Honestly, 4x4 is overkill for 98% of the places you might realistically go in namibia, but the high clearance and high quality shocks and struts on their trucks really increase the comfort on all the washboard dirt roads. Overall Go Rent was a superb choice with amazing employees. They made the whole process easy, answered any questions, and did all the small things to maximize our trip. Would definitely recommend. On the drive to the rental shop he started giving me tips on driving in Namibia and advice on the vehicle. Once at the shop I was greeted by the owner Robert. After finishing the paperwork quickly they took me through the equipment provided with the vehicle, how to use it and sent me some videos in case I needed to refer back to them during the trip. Robert asked me for my itinerary and gave me some advice. Thankfully he checked, as the itinerary on my last day was a bit long and I could have missed my flight so I ended up changing my itinerary based on his advice. They gave me their WhatsApp in case I needed help during the trip. The first night we stayed at the Urban Camp nearby as I wanted to test the equipement before leaving town. Everything worked perfectly on the first night and during the whole trip. My daughter and I had a memorable experience in Namibia and that was thanks to Robert and his team who provided great service and a great vehicle. She accommodated me as I was helping my family in New Zealand, hire Utes for their visit over here to see me beginning of November. Unfortunately we got devastating news that my mother had a sudden diagnosis of significant heart failure a week and a half before my family’s trip over here. I contacted Alicia immediately, not knowing how that would go with the cancellation and their refund policy. Go rentals refunded us our whole deposit without the cancellation fee on top. Great country to visit and explore :) A superb Service from Robert and his rental company helped a lot to the experience. The vehicle, the camping gear to go around the country everything was perfect. We got all necessary gear in a great shape, for camping, cooking, washing, solar lights etc. We did not use our sleeping bags at all as everything for sleeping in the tents was provided as well. The airport transfer and collection/drop off was seamless. We were offered a welcome cold drinks and facing the heat coming from the cold EU it was a very pleasant gesture from Robert. The rental experience itself was great. The car was bulletproof, gear in order, car well equipped even for any potential emergency case like tyre puncture or similar. The car had bright new off road tires and we did not face any defect whatsoever. In car WiFi with 18GB data was a really nice service specially for the kids. I highly recommend. If you do not have a pair with you, ask for binoculars for game viewing it pays off (we had 3 and sometimes even this was not enough :) ). We also felt very safe going around having constant contact to Robert if needed. And he was occasionally even checking on us if everything is ok and if we need something. My girlfriend and I recently rented a 4x4 here for a week in Namibia, and we can say that, from start to finish, everything was exceptionally well-arranged. The journey began when Rian picked us up at the airport. Right from the get-go, we noticed they are focused on good customer service. They didn't just hand us the keys and send us on our way; they took the time to ensure we understood everything about the vehicle and explained every detail, even if it took a couple of times for us to grasp... As for the car itself, it was in very good condition and came fully equipped with everything we needed for our camping tour in Namibia. Not sure whether we were lucky but we didn't have any issues with the tires and overall we felt confident and well-prepared for the terrain. In summary, they exceeded our expectations, and I would enthusiastically give them a major 5-star review. Genuinely hope to return to Namibia soon and if we do a tour by car again, I will know where to rent :). Thank you Rian for making our Namibian adventure one for the books! The car was in impeccable condition and a beast on the gravel roads of Namibia. The tires were in great condition and we did not face any issues with tire punctures, which is quite common. The car is well stocked with everything you will need on your road trip. The tents are quite spacious and comfortable and spacious for 2 persons. The team was very responsive to all our queries even during our trip and were always ready to guide us. A tip for first timers is to familiarise yourself with the car and various camping equipment prior to the start of your road trip (watching videos/tutorials), so that you spend minimal time in figuring out such things on the way.
