When our flight into Windhoek was delayed for 15 hours, Robert filled up the car with drinks and snacks, so we could start our trip already the next day. Robin Q23 August 2024Great experience with GoRent We had a great experience renting our tented Toyota Hilux 4 x 4 from Robert and the team. They provide a transfer to and from the airport which is very helpful. Even when there was a misunderstanding about the pick up day from the airport they paid for our taxi into Winhoek. Not only that, due to the misunderstanding, Robert pulled out all the stops to make it up to us (which he really didn't need to do, as it really had minimal impact on us and gave us a bit more time to sort a few things out at the aiport). This included making sure we had a top notch car and even giving us a bunch if beers and 2 bottles of wine!) The car was brilliant and the camping equipment was in great condition. We had everything we could have needed on our trip. We had one issue with the car during our 3 week trip where the traction control light wouldn't go off after we had used the 4 x 4 mode driving on sand in Swakopmund. Robert was very responsive and supportive about the issue and we got it into a close by garage and got it sorted out very quickly (they just had to turn the light off in the end so no real issue). Robert was very focused on not delaying us or impacting our trip which I thought was a really great attitude. We did a few excursions requiring use of the 4×4 and the car worked perfectly - we were surprised at how easily it managed the tough terrain. Finally, even though there was a small bit or wear and tear on the car during our use of it (which we agonised over due to our budget!). Robert was very understanding and didn't ask for any money for this which was massively appreciated. All in all a great experience with GoRent and I would recommend them to anyone.Posted on Tripadvisor

Exceptional services and best quality vehicle 4x4 that we rented was exceptional, perfectly equipped for our family trip (2 adults, 3 children). Each tent had a comfortable mattress, with pillows, duvets and sleeping bags provided - a real comfort. The service was impeccable, with detailed explanations from the beginning. Mein Mann und ich haben ein Auto von Go Rent Namibia 4x4 Rentals gemietet und sind mit dem Auto kreuz und quer durch Namibia gefahren. Eine Reise mit dem Auto ist, wahrscheinlich, die einzige Möglichkeit zu reisen da. Und ohne Auto kommt man nicht in ein Naturpark rein! Da ist es streng verboten (und gefährlich) aus dem Auto auszusteigen!Also, wir könnten in Namibia reisen und den Naturpark Etosha und die Küste besichtigen. In Etosha haben wir unglaublich viele Tieren gesehen, die man sonst nur aus einem Zoo Besucht kennt - Elephanten, Giraffen und anderen. Es war einfach atemberaubend! Es gibt Campinge im Park, allerdings muss man rechtzeitig reinkommen, mit dem Sonnenuntergang werden sie geschlossen. Am Anfang haben wir Angst gehabt, ob wir alles gut hinkriegen, abet das Zelt Aufbauen war sehr leicht, weil die Zelt auf dem Dach platziert war. Auspacken, auf der Leitung ziehen - und fertig! Richtig faszinierend! Neben alle unsere Campingplätze gab es Wasserlösliche, zu die Tieren zum Trinken kommen. Wir konnten die Tieren Tags und Nachts beobachten. Faszinierend!Und unser Auto hat uns das Leben leicht gemacht, weil da einfach alles, was man brauch, drin war.Wir können das Go Rent Namibia 4x4 Rentals jeden empfehlen. Weeks leading to our visit, Christina was very helpful until the end of our trip. Riaan, Robert and Ons were really really helpful in helping us get acquainted with the 4x4 bakkie. The bakkie was a pleasure to drive on gravel and tar road, had all you need for camping. Alles war perfekt, man fühlte sich super aufgehoben, jederzeit war jemand vom Team erreichbar, alles war komplett und super ausgestattet. Alle im Team sind super freundlich, kompetent und erreichbar. Kundenservice vor Ort, Anweisungen und Tipps sind klasse. Der Fahrer Simon holte und am Airport ab und wartete trotz Passkontrolle über eine Stunde und war schon da. The process was really smooth and easy from the beginning, with Jessica responding to emails really quickly with the quotes requested even when we had changes here and there. The pick up and drop off were also seamless with Simon, and we had no issues with the car at all. During the rental period, all queries were promptly replied via WhatsApp which we really appreciated. It was our first time doing rooftop camping and we were so glad we chose to do it with Go Rent Namibia 4x4 Rentals. Even though the prices were slightly higher than some of its bigger name peers, the support throughout the process from start to end made it really worthwhile. We were looking for a car very last minute during high season, and these guys saved us with a solid 4x4 with a lot more equipment than we had expected, such as an air compressor, tire puncture kit, flashlight and multitool. Rian and Robert were super nice and helpful during the whole rental period, gave us tips and advice on our route and even included a gas cooker and some pots for free. The 4x4 itself was very clean, in perfect condition and we didn't have any problems with it. I can highly recommend this company and will rent there again if I come back to Namibia. From the moment of contact to day of retuen we were ment with professionalism and freindly staff willing to go above and beyond. We were offered lots of advice on our choosen route and alternatibe routes we could take. Everything qas easy from being picked up at the airport to being dropped back off. The roof box tent was very easy to assemble and very comfortable. We had every bit of equipment that we could need and was provided internet so we could use internet and contact the owners for any help at any point. john hogg4 September 2024Unparalleled 4x4 rental with amazing service. The vehicle was in tip top condition with few miles on the clock. We hired it for 5 weeks and it performed faultlessly. Robert and his team - with special mentions for Simon and Alicia - went above and beyond to brief us in a relaxed way about driving in Namibia and support us during our visit. When my wife’s passport was lost/stolen they were amazingly helpful. They (Simon) drove our two companions many miles to our next destination (in South Africa!) while we awaited an emergency passport, and then Alicia personally delivered the passport to us at a lodge in the Kalahari. The team was very helpful in answering all my pre-booking questions. Booking went smoothly and then at check-in we had a great experience with Robert taking the time to help us finalise the trip planning and giving us some amazing tips. Alicia helped us finish off the contract and the payment and Simon was great in showing us how to use the car and camping gear. All the camping material was very high quality and easy to use. We travel a lot and have rented a car in various places, but we have never experienced such great service as we received here. The owner is very nice, he explained everything in detail, how to drive safely, how to repair a wheel in case of problems, what the car is equipped with (and it was equipped with everything we needed and even more). We were given an extra sleeping bag and a blanket in case it was cold at night and beers for the first night at the campsite ;)! We had a very nice chat and coffee with the owner and the driver who took us to the airport when we returned the car. If we ever come back to Namibia we will definitely rent a car here again! Everything was perfectly organized from the start. We were picked up from the airport and taken to the office where we received a very warm welcome. The car was brand new, and after detailed instructions and explanations we were off. Two weeks without a hitch and we were completely happy with a great car. Robert was available at all times and was willing to drive across the country to help personally in an emergency. We were impressed by the combination of professionalism in a friendly atmosphere with a great team. Not only very friendly but also super helpful and responsive throughout our entire five weeks adventure. Being this the first time we were going to be driving in Africa, across Namibia and Botswana with our two kids, having a reliable vehicle was our top priority. GoRent really provided a stress free experience. They were there for us 24x7 to make sure our journey was safe and pleasant. They also gave us all the tools and equipment necessary to prepare our meals and sleep comfortably. Having a nice size fridge with a freezer was also nice to store food but also enjoy a cold drink while on the road and at the end of the day. They gave us a lot of good tips and even brought us to a nice super market to load up on food after we got the car. Simon, one of the drivers, also gave us a lot of info already during our ride from the airport to our accommodations when we arrived. He also picked us up and brought us back to the airport the next day because our bags arrived one day later in Windhoek due to a delay in Johannesburg. Frank F31 July 2023A great round-trip through the North of Namibia I was for a business trip in Namibia, and luckily, I had six days off. The colleagues from Go Rent managed to bring the jeep directly to our hotel, gave us a professional introduction into the safety features. needless to say that the jeep was in a perfect technical condition. I mean to travel Namibia is not like travelling in Europe! I personally lavoed the tyre pressure control device - this is a really useful gimmick. I saw on the road others with destroyed tyres, who mentioned the pressure loss to late! The tent was in good condition, everything clean and fresh. The truck was in immaculate shape and the added wifi and Apple car play in the car was a life saver. marco d25 July 2024Namibia in 4x4 selfdrive Robert very kind person, always available, provided us with a Toyota hilux with automatic transmission, brand new perfect, comfortable and maneuverable. Very useful the fridge, additional blankets, dishes and the necessary for cooking and BBQ, in addition to the tent. We made a 25-day trip and covered over 5,000 km. Everything perfect no problem. We also highly recommend for the right cost.

They provide a transfer to and from the airport which is very helpful. Even when there was a misunderstanding about the pick up day from the airport they paid for our taxi into Winhoek. Not only that, due to the misunderstanding, Robert pulled out all the stops to make it up to us (which he really didn't need to do, as it really had minimal impact on us and gave us a bit more time to sort a few things out at the aiport). This included making sure we had a top notch car and even giving us a bunch if beers and 2 bottles of wine!) The car was brilliant and the camping equipment was in great condition. We had everything we could have needed on our trip. We had one issue with the car during our 3 week trip where the traction control light wouldn't go off after we had used the 4 x 4 mode driving on sand in Swakopmund. Robert was very responsive and supportive about the issue and we got it into a close by garage and got it sorted out very quickly (they just had to turn the light off in the end so no real issue). Robert was very focused on not delaying us or impacting our trip which I thought was a really great attitude. We did a few excursions requiring use of the 4×4 and the car worked perfectly - we were surprised at how easily it managed the tough terrain. Finally, even though there was a small bit or wear and tear on the car during our use of it (which we agonised over due to our budget!). Robert was very understanding and didn't ask for any money for this which was massively appreciated. Da ist es streng verboten (und gefährlich) aus dem Auto auszusteigen!Also, wir könnten in Namibia reisen und den Naturpark Etosha und die Küste besichtigen. In Etosha haben wir unglaublich viele Tieren gesehen, die man sonst nur aus einem Zoo Besucht kennt - Elephanten, Giraffen und anderen. Es war einfach atemberaubend! Es gibt Campinge im Park, allerdings muss man rechtzeitig reinkommen, mit dem Sonnenuntergang werden sie geschlossen. Am Anfang haben wir Angst gehabt, ob wir alles gut hinkriegen, abet das Zelt Aufbauen war sehr leicht, weil die Zelt auf dem Dach platziert war. Auspacken, auf der Leitung ziehen - und fertig! Richtig faszinierend! Neben alle unsere Campingplätze gab es Wasserlösliche, zu die Tieren zum Trinken kommen. Wir konnten die Tieren Tags und Nachts beobachten. We were looking for a car very last minute during high season, and these guys saved us with a solid 4x4 with a lot more equipment than we had expected, such as an air compressor, tire puncture kit, flashlight and multitool. Camping equipment was more than enough - we had everything we could think about. Also the rooftop tent was big, comfortable and easy to set up. Everyone was super helpful and we got good tips at the start of our journey. We will definitely come back and use the same company. We travel a lot and have rented a car in various places, but we have never experienced such great service as we received here. The owner is very nice, he explained everything in detail, how to drive safely, how to repair a wheel in case of problems, what the car is equipped with (and it was equipped with everything we needed and even more). We were given an extra sleeping bag and a blanket in case it was cold at night and beers for the first night at the campsite ;)! We had a very nice chat and coffee with the owner and the driver who took us to the airport when we returned the car. If we ever come back to Namibia we will definitely rent a car here again! They will pick you from the airport, explain everything you need, give you full equipped car with wifi and even help you to plan your trip. Everything was perfectly organized from the start. We were picked up from the airport and taken to the office where we received a very warm welcome. The car was brand new, and after detailed instructions and explanations we were off. Two weeks without a hitch and we were completely happy with a great car. Robert was available at all times and was willing to drive across the country to help personally in an emergency. We were impressed by the combination of professionalism in a friendly atmosphere with a great team. We can only thank them for the fantastic time and the opportunity to get to know Namibia from this side. When we come back we will definitely rent a car from Robert and his team again. With free return airport shuttle, free simcard & wifi device and binocular, it really makes your travel plan went smoothly. We rented a Toyota Hilux 4x4 with 2 rooftop tents. Not only very friendly but also super helpful and responsive throughout our entire five weeks adventure. Being this the first time we were going to be driving in Africa, across Namibia and Botswana with our two kids, having a reliable vehicle was our top priority. GoRent really provided a stress free experience. They were there for us 24x7 to make sure our journey was safe and pleasant. They also gave us all the tools and equipment necessary to prepare our meals and sleep comfortably. Having a nice size fridge with a freezer was also nice to store food but also enjoy a cold drink while on the road and at the end of the day. They gave us a lot of good tips and even brought us to a nice super market to load up on food after we got the car. Simon, one of the drivers, also gave us a lot of info already during our ride from the airport to our accommodations when we arrived. He also picked us up and brought us back to the airport the next day because our bags arrived one day later in Windhoek due to a delay in Johannesburg. All in all, we were very pleased with GoRent and our Toyota Hilux 4x4. The colleagues from Go Rent managed to bring the jeep directly to our hotel, gave us a professional introduction into the safety features. needless to say that the jeep was in a perfect technical condition. I mean to travel Namibia is not like travelling in Europe! I personally lavoed the tyre pressure control device - this is a really useful gimmick. I saw on the road others with destroyed tyres, who mentioned the pressure loss to late! The tent was in good condition, everything clean and fresh. The truck was in immaculate shape and the added wifi and Apple car play in the car was a life saver. Very useful the fridge, additional blankets, dishes and the necessary for cooking and BBQ, in addition to the tent. We made a 25-day trip and covered over 5,000 km. Everything perfect no problem. We also highly recommend for the right cost.
