In 15 giorni abbiamo percorso oltre 4.500 km, la maggior parte su strade sterrate, senza alcun problema: semplicemente stupendo! I proprietari e il personale ci hanno fornito un’assistenza eccezionale: sempre gentili, disponibili e pronti a rispondere a ogni nostra domanda e ad aiutarci in qualsiasi occasione. I cannot recommend them enough for their incredible support, advice and excellent communication, both during the planning and throughout our actual road trip. Their local knowledge, thoughtful advice and genuine consideration of our specific trip requirements were 10/10. I often found myself saying, “Piet was right!” throughout the trip, which says a lot about how valuable their advice was. As first-time 4x4 and roof-tent travellers, we were a little unsure of what to expect, but the whole experience was seamless. Everything was handled with great care and attention, and we always felt that we were in very good hands. If you’re planning a self-drive adventure in Namibia, I would wholeheartedly recommend Go Rent Namibia. Good cars and very nice people! The communication with Alicia & Jessica was very pleasant and clear from the beginning. We were sent several instruction videos in advance and got a good explanation about the route through Robert and about the car & accompanying camping gear from Simon. The car was still very new and the camping gear contained everything we needed and more (like the wifi device). The price/quality ratio was really fantastic. Robert, Rian and the rest of the team go out of their way to make your once in a lifetime trip the best and safest it can be. From pre-departure advice and support, to being dropped off at the airport at the end, the service was outstanding, friendly and knowledgeable. We had a Nissan NP300 with two roof top tents, new off road tyres, tyre monitors, GPS, WiFi, satellite phone, fridge and everything else you could need for our adventure which saw me and my daughter driving 4500km around Namibia and Botswana over 4 weeks. We rented a Toyota Hilux for our three-week road trip to Namibia, and the value for money was excellent.Service is impeccable from start to finish, with a very friendly and accommodating team. The vehicle was modern and robust, and camping equipment for four people was complete.They also gave us valuable advice on routes and risks related to driving on unpaved tracks (besides, remember to take tire insurance!). The car was in impeccable condition and a beast on the gravel roads of Namibia. The tires were in great condition and we did not face any issues with tire punctures, which is quite common. The car is well stocked with everything you will need on your road trip. The tents are quite spacious and comfortable and spacious for 2 persons. The team was very responsive to all our queries even during our trip and were always ready to guide us. A tip for first timers is to familiarise yourself with the car and various camping equipment prior to the start of your road trip (watching videos/tutorials), so that you spend minimal time in figuring out such things on the way. We loved our Hilux and after 3 weeks and over four thousand kilometres we very reluctantly gave ‘her’ back. The hand over service was fabulous - fuss free and quick. The WiFi and Sim an invaluable part of the package. We didn’t need the binoculars as we had our own but all these little extras are always a lovely touch and thoughtful. Olivier R13 September 2024Highly recommended for a smooth and enjoyable road trip in Namibia ;-) For our second trip to Namibia, we’ve rented a Toyota Hilux with Go Rent Namibia 4x4 for the entire trip (4 weeks) with standard camping equipment. It was simply perfect! So much better than the experience we had 10 years before during our first trip. At this time, we had rented to a larger, South Africa-based company and had many problems with the car (3 flat tires during the first few hundred kilometres of the trip, problems with the batterie…). This time, we decided to rent with Namibia based Go Rent Namibia 4x4, and we highly recommend! The car was great, very reliable and equipped with very good tires, which is quite important when traveling in remote places. The roof tents and camping equipment were also perfect. Everything was well thought, with four boxes containing all what you need for comfort throughout the trip: everything you need to make a fire, cook, eat, sleep (extra blankets…), and enjoy nature (binoculars, headlamp…). Frankly you can feel that the team is used to do camping and knowns what is needed to make your trip incredibly comfortable and enjoyable. A special mention to Simon, who picked us up and dropped us off at the airport, and with whom we had a great chat. Many thanks to Robert and all the team also. Paolo G23 May 2026The absolute best for your Namibia-Roadtrip!! We rented a 4x4 Hilux Toyota from this company for our 8-days roadtrip in Namibia. We were in 5, with two tents on top of the car and one on the ground. None of us had experience before in long roadtrips, especially mostly on gravel/off-roads. The car looked almost new on the first day, tyres perfect. No punctures, no problems of fuel. In the car there is everything to perfectly live inside it. With this car you can go everywhere! Even in 5, there is enough space to be comfortable. There is wifi in the car provided by a router with 30 Gb and a sim-card for emergency. Wifi works well especially in the campings and in populated areas. Everything mentioned in the description was in the car, in terms of accessories and fridge. About the people working there, they were super helpful already from the beginning. They take time for you, you fill really welcomed. We also took a coffee with them. After carefully reading together the contract, they were super nice to explain us everything on our destinations and on our planned road trip. On the second day we lost the number plate, and the company was super effective to answer and provide us with all the necessary information and help. William21 September 2025Très bonne agence de location de 4x4 avec tente sur le toit pour explorer la Namibie. Possibilité de louer à partir de 6 jours minimum. Le véhicule qui nous a été donné était en bon état et a parfaitement fonctionné pendant toute la durée du séjour (>3 semaines). Aucun pneu crevé durant le séjour, mais cela arrive fréquemment donc nous avions pris une assurance complémentaire. La tente était OK, facile à ouvrir et pas trop compliquée à refermer le matin. Le matériel fourni permet de partir sereinement : kit pour cuisiner et manger, faire un feu, pinces à linge, frigo et sa rallonge électrique, bouilloire, bidon d’essence (vide), matériel pour faire la pression des pneus, etc. La conduite était simple et nous n’avons pas eu de problème sur les divers types de routes rencontrées.Posted on Tripadvisor

Belindagg26 March 2024Outstanding and cut above the rest especially with communication and clear hand over 10/10 for Robert and team We decided to use this company for 24 day trip in Namibia and honestly I can’t praise them enough from picking us up to the attention to smaller detail not to even mention all the camping gear that get supplied with the Nissan. Robert was always on the end of the phone if needed even helped us out with some of the pillows on our last night in Windhoek at urban camp as there pillows is like rocks. Pieter was ever so helpful with detailed info on our trip with loads of tips and Christina was extremely helpful to answer all our questions. We are already planning next year’s trip and would not even consider anyone else due to the brilliant customer service and friendship that formed between us. My boyfriend and I had never been to Namibia before, so we’re anticipating our trip with a bit of uncertainty. However from the moment Robert picked us up from the airport we felt relaxed. However, when you're coming from far away and need to rent a car, it’s always a bit nerve-wracking. You’re not sure about the insurance, the large deposit, etc. The process with GoRent was perfect. When you talk to Robert and Christina, you can tell they have a genuine interest in making everything easy, and straightforward. And much respect for Robert's availability. If there was the slightest issue with the car, we could always contact him. Simon, the driver, provided excellent service in terms of taking us to the bus when we had to continue our journey from Windhoek. The camping equipment was super, the bed comfy and the rooftop tent very easy to open and close, and we really took advantage of the complementary binoculars, namibian simcard and wifi(18 GB!) We got no punctures in our wheels (special wheels that are almost impossible to puncture), but having the wheel monitor was an extrasafety which we really appreciated. Robert is always available and ready to help. One of our back car fenders broke but was covered by the insurance. After this amazing holiday we enjoyed one last night in the great apartment they have for rent, and enjoyed a day with Robert and his beautiful family. Per W13 July 2026Nmibia and Botswana by 4x4 Firs class service from the company and prime car with everything and a little more you need for camping, driving, bush maintenance and recovery in case of the unforeseen... Since we included Botswana in our tour we were also equipped with sand ladders, excellent example of the attention to details by Go Rent Namibia 4x4. This was the second time we rented a fully camping equipped vehicle from the company - or third car if we count our friends rental of second car in the first trip. The airport transfer is also much appreciated - it's included if you go for a longer time. Not to mention all good tips and ideas we got from Robert and his team at the office discussing our route when picking up the car and in mail conversations prior to the trip. We had a fabulous ride through Namibia and Botswana. As a matter of fact it was so good we decided to go back in October 2026 for a third adventure - this time in the dry season. The vehicle was very well equipped, with everything needed to travel independently: complete dishes, barbecue equipment, nothing was missing. The 4x4 vehicle was in excellent condition – clean, reliable, and performed flawlessly throughout the entire trip. We had zero mechanical issues. Go Rent Namibia ist ein noch junges Unternehmen die jedoch wirken als ob sie schon lange Erfahrung haben. Die Campingausrüstung war gut ausgestattet. Das Dachzelt ist von guter Qualität und hat auch manche Stürme und Regenschauer überstanden. Das Auto war gut gewartet, wir hatten die ganze Zeit keine Probleme. Es ist ein Reifendrucksensor installiert der im Auto den aktuellen Reifendruck angibt. Da GoRent Geld für gute Reifen investiert hatten wir die ganze Zeit über keinen Platten. Bei Abholung wurde uns ganz genau alles erklärt und es wurde sich viel Zeit für uns genommen. Auch bei Fragen während der Reise haben wir immer schnell eine Antwort bekommen. From the moment of contact to day of retuen we were ment with professionalism and freindly staff willing to go above and beyond. We were offered lots of advice on our choosen route and alternatibe routes we could take. Everything qas easy from being picked up at the airport to being dropped back off. The roof box tent was very easy to assemble and very comfortable. We had every bit of equipment that we could need and was provided internet so we could use internet and contact the owners for any help at any point. The car was in impeccable condition and a beast on the gravel roads of Namibia. The tires were in great condition and we did not face any issues with tire punctures, which is quite common. The car is well stocked with everything you will need on your road trip. The tents are quite spacious and comfortable and spacious for 2 persons. A tip for first timers is to familiarise yourself with the car and various camping equipment prior to the start of your road trip (watching videos/tutorials), so that you spend minimal time in figuring out such things on the way. At this time, we had rented to a larger, South Africa-based company and had many problems with the car (3 flat tires during the first few hundred kilometres of the trip, problems with the batterie…). This time, we decided to rent with Namibia based Go Rent Namibia 4x4, and we highly recommend! The car was great, very reliable and equipped with very good tires, which is quite important when traveling in remote places. The roof tents and camping equipment were also perfect. Everything was well thought, with four boxes containing all what you need for comfort throughout the trip: everything you need to make a fire, cook, eat, sleep (extra blankets…), and enjoy nature (binoculars, headlamp…). Frankly you can feel that the team is used to do camping and knowns what is needed to make your trip incredibly comfortable and enjoyable. We rented a 4x4 Hilux Toyota from this company for our 8-days roadtrip in Namibia. We were in 5, with two tents on top of the car and one on the ground. None of us had experience before in long roadtrips, especially mostly on gravel/off-roads. The car looked almost new on the first day, tyres perfect. No punctures, no problems of fuel. In the car there is everything to perfectly live inside it. With this car you can go everywhere! Even in 5, there is enough space to be comfortable. There is wifi in the car provided by a router with 30 Gb and a sim-card for emergency. Wifi works well especially in the campings and in populated areas. Everything mentioned in the description was in the car, in terms of accessories and fridge. About the people working there, they were super helpful already from the beginning. They take time for you, you fill really welcomed. We also took a coffee with them. After carefully reading together the contract, they were super nice to explain us everything on our destinations and on our planned road trip. On the second day we lost the number plate, and the company was super effective to answer and provide us with all the necessary information and help. My boyfriend and I had never been to Namibia before, so we’re anticipating our trip with a bit of uncertainty. However from the moment Robert picked us up from the airport we felt relaxed. The team gave us a thorough and careful briefing before we set off for 8 days of camping. The van was in great condition and all the camping equipment was thought about. Namibia is an amazing place to drive around, and I would recommend everyone to do it. However, when you're coming from far away and need to rent a car, it’s always a bit nerve-wracking. You’re not sure about the insurance, the large deposit, etc. The process with GoRent was perfect. When you talk to Robert and Christina, you can tell they have a genuine interest in making everything easy, and straightforward. And much respect for Robert's availability. If there was the slightest issue with the car, we could always contact him. Simon, the driver, provided excellent service in terms of taking us to the bus when we had to continue our journey from Windhoek. Since we had a long wait before the bus departure, he drove us to a café so we could have a coffee and then picked us up again. Airport pick-up and return were smooth and easy. Jessica, Alicia, and Robert went out of their way to deliver amazing customer service. They are extremely friendly and personable. Give great tips about driving on Namibian roads. The vehicle itself was in excellent condition and worked very well. My wife and I are avid travelers but this was our best trip yet. We feel so lucky to have chosen to go with this company. We loved our nissan that took us around for 6000 km between Namibia and Botswana in 18 days, and was just great! The camping equipment was super, the bed comfy and the rooftop tent very easy to open and close, and we really took advantage of the complementary binoculars, namibian simcard and wifi(18 GB!) We got no punctures in our wheels (special wheels that are almost impossible to puncture), but having the wheel monitor was an extrasafety which we really appreciated. Robert is always available and ready to help. One of our back car fenders broke but was covered by the insurance. After this amazing holiday we enjoyed one last night in the great apartment they have for rent, and enjoyed a day with Robert and his beautiful family. Thank you so much for everything, we hope to see you again soon!Posted on TripadvisorPer W13 July 2026Nmibia and Botswana by 4x4 Firs class service from the company and prime car with everything and a little more you need for camping, driving, bush maintenance and recovery in case of the unforeseen... Since we included Botswana in our tour we were also equipped with sand ladders, excellent example of the attention to details by Go Rent Namibia 4x4. This was the second time we rented a fully camping equipped vehicle from the company - or third car if we count our friends rental of second car in the first trip. The airport transfer is also much appreciated - it's included if you go for a longer time. Not to mention all good tips and ideas we got from Robert and his team at the office discussing our route when picking up the car and in mail conversations prior to the trip. We had a fabulous ride through Namibia and Botswana. As a matter of fact it was so good we decided to go back in October 2026 for a third adventure - this time in the dry season. Based on our experience with Go Rent Namibia 4x4 our choice of rental company is easy. Go Rent Namibia ist ein noch junges Unternehmen die jedoch wirken als ob sie schon lange Erfahrung haben. Die Campingausrüstung war gut ausgestattet. Das Dachzelt ist von guter Qualität und hat auch manche Stürme und Regenschauer überstanden. Das Auto war gut gewartet, wir hatten die ganze Zeit keine Probleme. Es ist ein Reifendrucksensor installiert der im Auto den aktuellen Reifendruck angibt. Da GoRent Geld für gute Reifen investiert hatten wir die ganze Zeit über keinen Platten. Bei Abholung wurde uns ganz genau alles erklärt und es wurde sich viel Zeit für uns genommen. Auch bei Fragen während der Reise haben wir immer schnell eine Antwort bekommen. Wir würden bei einer erneuten Reise auf jeden Fall wieder bei GoRent buchen und können es nur wärmstens empfehlen. From the moment of contact to day of retuen we were ment with professionalism and freindly staff willing to go above and beyond. We were offered lots of advice on our choosen route and alternatibe routes we could take. Everything qas easy from being picked up at the airport to being dropped back off. The roof box tent was very easy to assemble and very comfortable. We had every bit of equipment that we could need and was provided internet so we could use internet and contact the owners for any help at any point.
