I had a great experience with Go Rent Namibia ! I rented a car for 3 weeks and was really satisfied with it. They provide all the tools and accessories necessary for camping and they stay in touch with you to provide assistance for anything during your travel time. I was kindly welcomed in their office and well briefed before my departure. Everyone was very kind ! The roof tent is also very confortable and quite easy to set up. An B4 October 2025Very professional and friendly company. In September 2025, we rented a 4x4 vehicle with a roof tent from Go Rent to travel through Namibia and Botswana. For a month, we drove on all kinds of roads, and the vehicle always performed perfectly. Sleeping in the tent was a new experience for us, but we adapted easily and found it very comfortable. The days we spent in these countries left us with fond memories, but the best memory of the whole trip was the treatment we received from everyone at the company at all times: Robert, Simon, Jessica, Alice... The vehicle was in tip top condition with few miles on the clock. We hired it for 5 weeks and it performed faultlessly. Robert and his team - with special mentions for Simon and Alicia - went above and beyond to brief us in a relaxed way about driving in Namibia and support us during our visit. When my wife’s passport was lost/stolen they were amazingly helpful. They (Simon) drove our two companions many miles to our next destination (in South Africa!) while we awaited an emergency passport, and then Alicia personally delivered the passport to us at a lodge in the Kalahari. Robert e i suoi collaboratori sono gentilissimi e ci hanno dato due numeri di telefono da contattare in caso di difficoltà, ai nostri messaggi hanno sempre risposto nell'arco di breve tempo. Sono venuti a prenderci in aeroporto e dopo averci offerto da bere il proprietario Robert ci ha dato alcuni ottimi consigli sulle strade da percorrere. L'auto era munita di tutto quello che avevamo bisogno: stoviglie, pentole, fornello a gas, un buon frigorifero con congelatore (noi ad inizio viaggio abbiamo comprato il giaccio che si è rivelato molto utile), tavolo, sedie,... Avevamo anche un apparecchio portatile con il WIFI (attenzione in Namibia si ha connessione solo nei centri abitati e sulle strade principali, vi consiglio dunque di scaricarvi le cartine di Google maps offline). britta_borderless29 April 2024Reliable car, great service, full equipment My husband and I got a 4x4 camper for 17 days. The car was very easy to handle, very RELIABLE and we had fun driving it. We never faced any problem. We didn’t even loose a tyre since they were good quality. The car was FULLY equipped and didn’t miss anything. With the 70 l tank we never had to use the extra fuel canister. The fridge was big and we could have put more things if wanted. It was easy enough to cook with the stove and they also provided a barbecue grill. Service and contact was a 100%. All questions were answered immediately. After almost not having any vacation this year, I started booking accommodation in Namibia with just a week in advance , and given that this is peak season, I knew I would be limited to the type of vehicle I would get from some impersonal rental service at the airport. I had that experience before, and so even without any hope I tried reaching for this company. All their cars were already taken, but they moved mountains to get me the perfect car, and my dream trip with my two boys was made possible through the efforts of Go Rent. I got a brand new Toyota Hilux fully equipped for the most demanding terrain this country threw at us. It had all the gear to be safe and enjoy the trip, even the small, but very important, details as providing a Wi-Fi device so we were connected the whole time, double diesel tank, air compressor…etc etc…to make the 2.200 km we did during a week the best road trip money can buy. With friendly advice from Robert that is also an overlander, and not just a vehicle renter, and the very nice driver that picked us at the airport . My girlfriend and I recently rented a 4x4 here for a week in Namibia, and we can say that, from start to finish, everything was exceptionally well-arranged. The journey began when Rian picked us up at the airport. Right from the get-go, we noticed they are focused on good customer service. They didn't just hand us the keys and send us on our way; they took the time to ensure we understood everything about the vehicle and explained every detail, even if it took a couple of times for us to grasp... As for the car itself, it was in very good condition and came fully equipped with everything we needed for our camping tour in Namibia. Not sure whether we were lucky but we didn't have any issues with the tires and overall we felt confident and well-prepared for the terrain. In summary, they exceeded our expectations, and I would enthusiastically give them a major 5-star review. Genuinely hope to return to Namibia soon and if we do a tour by car again, I will know where to rent :). Thank you Rian for making our Namibian adventure one for the books! (Another good customer service side story: when I arrived at the office to pick up the car, I realized that I forgot my contact lenses at home. francesco s5 February 2024Joy on the road Sometimes life can transform your modest hopes into immense fortunes. My trip confirms this. I came to Windhoek to look for an honest renter, take a simple car, cross Namibia. At the end I found a unique and special person, who gave me a comfortable and unstoppable car, which took me safely through an enchanted world. Robert is not just a renter, first of all he is a person who loves nature and travel, and he wants to give you his experience and expertise. You tell him your needs and he provides you with the right car for you, at the right price, gives you the necessary equipment and much more, follows you through everything at any time, explains everything to you. I had asked for a budget car, which took me around 6000 km (on difficult roads), without a problem or a puncture (which is not a given, but comes from the correct preparation of the vehicle). The price also included binoculars, a SIM card, an internet router, quality equipment, a spacious and practical tent, mattress, pillows, blanket, insurance that really covers you for any inconvenience, and a taxi service. Robert does all this by treating you as a friend, not a customer, surrounded by a wonderful family that I had the honor of knowing. Robert and his wife also know how to be fantastic hosts (and fantastic cooks), having at their disposal a spacious and luxurious apartment in the most beautiful area of the city (at a negligible price). Małgorzata Z6 May 2026Najlepsza wypożyczalnia w Namibii Polecam!polecam! I jeszcze raz polecam. Obsługa cudowna i bardzo pomocna. Linie lotnicze zgubiły mój bagaż, nie było czasu na czekanie bo plan podróży i rezerwację noclegow zrobione wcześniej. Zaproponowali odebranie mojego bagażu z lotniska i nadanie go do miejscowości gdzie będziemy się zatrzymywać. Uratowało to nasz plan za co jestem bardzo wdzięczna. Samochód przygotowany perfekcyjnie, wszystko czego nam potrzeba na campingach było, namioty pościel wszystko przygotowane idealnie. Wi fi w aucie. Podróżowalismy tym autem 3 tygodnie, obsługa przygotowała nam dokumenty na inne kraje więc spokojnie mogliśmy przekraczać granice. Odbiór z lotniska i transfer na lotnisko, kontakt w każdym momencie jeśli tylko jest potrzeba. Robin Q23 August 2024Great experience with GoRent We had a great experience renting our tented Toyota Hilux 4 x 4 from Robert and the team. They provide a transfer to and from the airport which is very helpful. Even when there was a misunderstanding about the pick up day from the airport they paid for our taxi into Winhoek. Not only that, due to the misunderstanding, Robert pulled out all the stops to make it up to us (which he really didn't need to do, as it really had minimal impact on us and gave us a bit more time to sort a few things out at the aiport). This included making sure we had a top notch car and even giving us a bunch if beers and 2 bottles of wine!) The car was brilliant and the camping equipment was in great condition. We had everything we could have needed on our trip. We had one issue with the car during our 3 week trip where the traction control light wouldn't go off after we had used the 4 x 4 mode driving on sand in Swakopmund. Robert was very responsive and supportive about the issue and we got it into a close by garage and got it sorted out very quickly (they just had to turn the light off in the end so no real issue). Robert was very focused on not delaying us or impacting our trip which I thought was a really great attitude. We did a few excursions requiring use of the 4×4 and the car worked perfectly - we were surprised at how easily it managed the tough terrain. Finally, even though there was a small bit or wear and tear on the car during our use of it (which we agonised over due to our budget!). Robert was very understanding and didn't ask for any money for this which was massively appreciated. Simon Turcotte15 April 2025I absolutely loved my rental experience with Go Rent 4x4. It started with the complementary airport pickup. I was picked up by Simon with my rental vehicle. On the drive to the rental shop he started giving me tips on driving in Namibia and advice on the vehicle. Once at the shop I was greeted by the owner Robert. After finishing the paperwork quickly they took me through the equipment provided with the vehicle, how to use it and sent me some videos in case I needed to refer back to them during the trip. Robert asked me for my itinerary and gave me some advice. Thankfully he checked, as the itinerary on my last day was a bit long and I could have missed my flight so I ended up changing my itinerary based on his advice. They gave me their WhatsApp in case I needed help during the trip. The first night we stayed at the Urban Camp nearby as I wanted to test the equipement before leaving town. Everything worked perfectly on the first night and during the whole trip. My daughter and I had a memorable experience in Namibia and that was thanks to Robert and his team who provided great service and a great vehicle. I highly recommend them!Posted on Tripadvisor

Lisa KERHAMON14 June 2025Definitely recommended 😆 I don’t usually leave reviews on Google Maps or TripAdvisor, but I’m making an exception because the experience with Go Rent Namibia 4x4 Rentals was truly outstanding. We were a group of nine students and were warmly welcomed by Robert and Simon, who took great care of us from start to finish. The free airport transfer to our accommodation and the following day’s ride to the agency made things so smooth. Each car came with a Wi-Fi hotspot and a local SIM card. All the camping equipment was included: sleeping bags, pillows, utensils, lamps, chairs, tables, and more. Robert even added a tent, mattress, and extra bedding free of charge so that no one had to sleep in the car. Binoculars and walkie-talkies were also thoughtfully provided. Moreover, Robert reviewed our itinerary with us and gave valuable advice on places to visit. On the day of our return, we unfortunately hit a warthog. With very limited time before our flight, Robert was incredibly responsive, guided us through remote repair steps with video instructions, and ensured we didn’t miss our flight. The customer service was excellent throughout. I highly recommend this agency for its flexibility, kindness, and professionalism ☺️A special mention for international students: no extra charge for additional drivers and no strict delay required between license issuance and driving the vehicle, an agency that truly understands and supports young travelers.Posted on Google

Giama25 June 2026From booking and pickup to the orientation and return day, everything was wonderful. We were picked up at the airport even though we hadn’t booked our 4x4 until the following day. We were then handed the Toyota Hilux that very same day at no extra charge. The car was in top condition: new tires, freshly detailed, with fresh blankets and pillows and never let us down for a whole month. The staff were all very professional and courteous. Everything was clean, complete and well prepared. Robert and Ryan delivered the jeep to our hotel and gave us a very good introduction. They were always available by whatsapp. There are some extraoridnary good features: there is a permanent tyre pressure control in the car - this is a very good safety feature. Valentina B22 October 2024BEAUTIFUL EXPERIENCE ON THE ROAD Robert Christina and Simon are very kind and helpful people gave us a lot of useful information for our trip, a phone sim with Namibian number and everything we had requested inside the car was present, from wi fi to binoculars, to the two spare wheels. we also punctured the Etosha and fortunately we had the kit to fix the tire that we had left supplied and of which they had explained the operation. the return of the car to the airport was also fast practical and comfortable. we found ourselves very well. next time we will definitely choose a more adequate and larger luxury car because we have traveled many kilometers on roads impossible and we were a little uncomfortable all those hours in the car, but this was definitely our wrong choice, I can only recommend to let customers choose a car a little larger and more comfortable and with the newest suspension ;)otherwise everything fine! thank you!Posted on Google

Andreas Bolz14 August 2024Wir waren mit einem Toyota Hillux 4x4 mit 4 Pers / 2 Dachzelte über 3 Wochen in Namibia unterwegs und haben nur schöne und gute Erfahrungen gesammelt. Nach einer sehr netten Begrüßung mit Kaffe und Getränken wurde uns das Auto ausgiebig erklärt (2h Zeit einplanen). Zuvor hat die Abholung am Flughafen perfekt geklappt. Das Fahrzeug war in einem top Zustand übergeben worden und hatte ein sehr gute Ausstattung inkl. 60L Zusatztank, neue OffRoad Reifen, eine komplette Campingausrüstung und sogar Handtücher. Der Kühlschrank war auf einem Schwerlastauszug montiert und richtig groß. Die OffRoad Touren im Damaraland und Kaokoveld verliefen ohne Schaden oder technische Probleme. Aber auch in diesem Fall wäre uns Robert und Christina jederzeit zur Seite gestanden (sofern es Funkkontakt gibt). Das Auto hatte eine SIM-Karte inkludiert. Nur das vorhandene Fernglas war von der Qualität nicht so gut. Hier würde ich empfehlen ein eigenes mitzubringen. The service was top-notch, from communication to helping us arrange transportation to the hotel and the airport the next day. Robert (the owner) and his team went above and beyond, even allowing us to use an internet router on our last night in Windhoek (after we returned the car),so we could connect to the internet (Airalo e-SIM cards don't work in Namibia, be careful). You will get two SIM cards with the car. One with 25 Gb internet + another one for the calls. The car was nearly new. Toyota Hilux 4x4 with automatic gear box was very comfortable. Car is fully equipped. We didn’t even use half of the equipment on board. You will find everything you need. Hint: No need to take a sleeping bag. The tent on the top has duvets and pillows. As well as clean towels. I can fully recommend this Car rental company. We had a great 10-days trip. For our first trip through Namibia and Botswana we decided to rent a 4x4 Nissan NP300 brand with full camping equipment (tent, kitchen utensils, table, chairs, refrigerator, binoculars, etc.). The car was in perfect condition, very reliable and equipped with very good tyres. The first day we had a mishap and we punctured but having the necessary material we were able to fix it without any problems. As for dealing with the company’s workers, it has been spectacular; Robert explained everything we should know exactly and tried to make everything clear by explaining in Spanish. In addition, when making the payment as in Spain we were mistaken we were able to make all the payment right there on the day of the pickup of the vehicle. On the other hand, in the middle of our tour we had a mishap (we broke the direction of the car), just communicating it gave us a solution and the next day we were in a workshop fixing it without affecting our itinerary. Finally, the journey from the airport to the city is covered, that is, they take you the first day and the last of your stay, gesture that is appreciated since the airport is not very close to the city. 62luca8 September 2023Great Rental Car Company I absolutely recommend Go Rent Namibia 4x4 to anyone wanting to rent a vehicle to get around Namibia. From the beginning they proved to be a serious company, with timely and precise email communications from Christina. Then Ryan picked us up from the airport advising and waiting for us while we changed money and bought some local sim cards. The next morning Robert and Ryan delivered us a practically brand new Toyota Hilux double cab with automatic transmission, super clean and fully equipped, with two spare wheels, GPS and on-board wifi. Very kind and friendly, they explained many things to us about the vehicle, the roads, driving habits and much more. The first three days of our trip in the south of the country proved to be very unfortunate from a tire point of view as we had flats three times, and one of these punctures even required a tire change. We had chosen a rental that guaranteed us against any type of damage, theft, glass, tyres. Robert was very correct, immediately reimbursing us how much we had to spend for the replacement. With Go Rent Namibia 4x4 the exchanges of Whattsap messages have always been instantaneous and very friendly. They are always available and occasionally they send you a message asking how your trip is going and if you need anything. I can say that in over thirty years of traveling around the world renting cars and jeeps, Go Rent Namibia 4x4 has proven to be a supplier of clearly superior quality both in terms of the professionalism of the staff and the quality of the vehicle. Mario Garcia31 August 2023We recommend it 100%. We travel a lot and have rented a car in various places, but we have never experienced such great service as we received here. The owner is very nice, he explained everything in detail, how to drive safely, how to repair a wheel in case of problems, what the car is equipped with (and it was equipped with everything we needed and even more). We were given an extra sleeping bag and a blanket in case it was cold at night and beers for the first night at the campsite ;)! We had a very nice chat and coffee with the owner and the driver who took us to the airport when we returned the car. If we ever come back to Namibia we will definitely rent a car here again! Lea Benjamin22 April 2025This review is long overdue. We can’t say enough about the owners and people who are GoRent. They were incredibly accommodating, responsive and helped us navigate some problematic situations on our trip. Before heading out, they spent time with us to review our self-drive plan through Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe, making valuable suggestions and stayed in touch via WhatsApp. Whatever we needed, they were there. The vehicle we originally rented was a Nissan but when we picked it up it turned out to be a Toyota Hilux which was a plus. The vehicle was almost new and in great condition. It performed beautifully and was extremely capable. This is the vehicle you want for Africa as the roads are often difficult to navigate once not on the main roads. The sand is deep and the roads narrow. The vehicle handled it effortlessly. The only comments for improvement we have is the gear and kitchen and how they are set up for travel was less than ideal and made food storage and prep highly unorganized. There should be additional bins providing valuable space for groceries and dry items. We were also provided with a gas stove that was powered by butane cannisters that were nearly impossible to find outside of Windhoek (every outlet sold regular propane gas bottles). The cannisters lasted a very short period of time. Thankfully we brought our own WindBurner system and found camping gas in the City before leaving and relied on the braai facilities at campsites. The refrigerator was not reliable and stopped working a few times. We managed to fix it each time, but it was extremely frustrating. We discussed these openly with the owners who were aware of some of these issues and are proactively working on better solutions. We are confident they will remedy these shortcomings as they are personally invested in the company and are an amazing group of people. We highly recommend them. For the family of GoRent, and a special thanks to Robert and Christina, if you are ever in Canada, we’d love to see you and thank you for all your help and support on our trip. dgoethel26 May 2025Great 4x4 rental in namibia Go Rent 4x4 was a superb choice for our 3 week truck rental in Namibia. We got a 4x4 Toyota hilux with pop up tent to explore the country. The truck was immaculately clean and well maintained with high quality gear. Both the road and camping gear was fully equipped beyond even what was noted on the website (full cooking and eating utensils, braii gear, propane stove and kettle, 2 extra tires, table and chairs, binoculars, air compressor, etc. Etc.). Their cars are also unbranded which makes them nicely conspicuous in a country full of giant 4x4 campers emblazoned with rental company logos. A nice subtle touch.For those unfamiliar with pop up tents, Simon will give you a tutorial upon arrival and you'll learn how quick and easy it is (5min up or down once you get some quick practice). Everyone is super friendly and the pickup and dropoff process is incredibly quick and easy. They even picked us up at the airport the night before our rental, took us to our hotel, and brought us to their shop the next morning (and drove us to the airport after dropping the truck back off).All the booking and planning was super easy and everyone is available anytime via WhatsApp. Robert, one of the owners, was extremely friendly and inviting. He answered all our questions and gave a rundown of the Namibian tourist sites. He can help you plan your trip if needed and is always available via WhatsApp if anything goes wrong. They also included a free wifi device and a Sim card to ease any potential emergency communication and to help for booking ahead. Robert also took our postcards to the post office, bought stamps, and mailed them for us when we got worn down by the endless lines at each post office we tried to go to. As noted, the pickup is extremely easy and Simon and company will give a thorough but succinct walk through of all equipment. No need to worry if you haven't been offroading or used a popup tent, they will explain it all. Honestly, 4x4 is overkill for 98% of the places you might realistically go in namibia, but the high clearance and high quality shocks and struts on their trucks really increase the comfort on all the washboard dirt roads. Overall Go Rent was a superb choice with amazing employees. They made the whole process easy, answered any questions, and did all the small things to maximize our trip. Would definitely recommend. Benjamin Pfister4 September 2023If you are wondering where to book a rental 4x4 for your adventure in Namibia, this is the place. We contacted them about a week ago before arriving in Namibia. Little did we know that August is high season in Namibia and therefore many rental companies are fully booked. Thankfully Go Rent still had an awesome Ford Ranger 3.2 4x4. Christina was so helpful in the e-mail communication with quick response time, clear information and took her time to explain every detail. This made the difference for me, since other rental companies were slow and only focused to rent me a car as soon as possible. Rian and Robert were so amazing throughout the entire journey. Through all 13 days of our adventure, we new that if we had a doubt or any problem, they would do anything to sort us out. I can't express how grateful we are for this guys and their amazing service. Feli8 October 2025Wir haben unser 4x4 Geländefahrzeug mit Dachzelt bei GoRent gemietet. Das Auto und das Dachzelt waren in perfekten Konditionen. Das Auto erfüllte alle Anforderungen für die Strassen Namibias und man konnte mit ihm sogar durch den Sand in Sossuvlei fahren. Die Campingausrüstung war sehr umfangreich. Wir haben genug warme Decken für die kalten Wüstennächte gekriegt und die Handtücher waren sauber. Man muss von Zuhause nichts selber mitnehmen für das Camping. Bei GoRent kriegst du wirklich alles. Das Service war auch ausgezeichnet. Sehr nette und zuverlässige Leute rund um die Uhr erreichbar. Raquel V23 July 2025Amazing trip in a full equiped car. They were very welcoming in their offices.They also offer the option to book any activities. In our case they booked the Sandwich Harbour tour.They offer a shuttle service to and from the airport, which is very useful since the airport transfer to the capital takes 40 minutes. Simon gave us a good overview of the car and of all the faccilities of the camping equipment.The campsite's facilities were very comprehensive, offering everything from cleaning products to cutlery, plates, and utensils, even emergency supplies.The car was really well equipped and covered of our needs without exception.About the trip itself the manager Robert gave us really good advise that has been really useful along the trip.Among all he has been really helpful and available at all time.We highly recommend this company if you plan to travel about Namibia on your own.Posted on Google

Hemos hecho 4000 km por las pistas y caminos de Namibia con tres coches sin ninguna incidencia en los vehiculos. Nos alojamos en su sede al llegar y al salir de Windhoek y el trato fue espectacular. Ofrecen cena tipo barbacoa que recomiendo especialmente!
